Israel Mireles

Israel Mireles was arrested on December 19, 2007, in Mexico in connection with the murder of Emily Sander.

On June 3, 2008, Mexican authorities granted extradition of Mireles to the United States where he faces charges of capital murder, rape and sodomy.

Emily Sander was an 18-year-old student at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas.

On on November 28, 2007, police in Kansas discovered a body about 50 miles from El Dorado. The the remains were identified as Sander's on December 1, 2007.

Sander was last seen alive leaving a bar in El Dorado with Israel Mireles.

Zoey Zane is the alias used by Emily Sander for online pornography modeling. Sander began working as Zane shortly after her 18th birthday in the summer of 2007.

It is not believed that Sander's online activity played a role in her murder.

Mireles is aslo charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child because he's presumed to be the father of 16-year-old Victoria Martens' unborn child.
