On January 10, 2009, over 15,000 protesters gathered in Trafalgar Square in support of the Israeli invasion, while 1,000 gathered in opposition. Over 10,000 people gathered in Indonesia to protest the air strikes on January 2, 2009. On January 3, 2009, as the violence in Gaza reached the one week mark and Israeli ground forces invaded Gaza, at least 10,000 protesters marched in London, 21,000 demonstrated in Paris and thousands more protested in several countries across Europe. On December 30, 2008, students broke into the British Embassy residence in Tehran. The students reportedly pulled down the British flag and replaced it with a Palestinian flag.
