In September of 2007, Israeli college student Ofir Tal released a prototype of a new motorized skateboard named the iSlide. The iSlide is designed to be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and features a central wheel and computerized balance unit to help keep the user upright.

Stabilizing Technology
Like the Segway Personal Transporter, the iSlide uses an on board gyroscope to create momentum and maintain balance. The user simply leans forward to accelerate and backward to decelerate.
