Irrfan Khan is an Indian stage and screen actor who played the lead in the movie The Warrior. He received critical acclaim and a Spirit Award Nomination for Best Supporting Male for his portrayal of the father in The Namesake.

Life and Career
Irrfan Khan was born and raised in Jaipur, India. He received his acting training at the National School of Drama in New Delhi.
After graduation he moved to Mumbai and found success in TV shows and on the stage. However, his big break in film came years later when he was cast in the lead of Asif Kapadia's The Warrior. Soon after Irrfan Khan starred in Maqbool and then in Mira Nair's The Namesake, which gave him widespread international recognition. This was followed by more work in Hollywood films such as Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited and Michael Winterbottom'sA Mighty Heart.
He is set to star in Mira Nair's Shantaram opposite Amitabh Bachchan and Johnny Depp.
