Iron Mountain, MI is a former mining and industrial city founded in 1879.

While there are many events throughout the year the main events are the Pine Mountain Continental Cup Ski Jumping Tournament in January, The Pine Mountain Music Festival in July, and Great Golf at the 5 star Timberstone Golf course May through September. Other attractions include The Cornish Pump Museum, The Iron Mountain Iron Mine and The Millie Hill Bat Cave which is the largest bat population in the Midwest. There are also numerous outdoors activities from Kayaking, fishing and hunting to hiking the numerous trails located through out the city.
