Liberals and conservatives have had an ongoing debate on troop withdrawal. Those that argue in favor of it say that the war is a lost cause, the United States should not risk any more soldiers' lives, and occupying Iraq is detrimental to the country's reputation around the world. Those against withdrawal say that the war can still be won, and removing American troops from Iraq without completing the mission will only send the country into further disarray. -
