10-year-old Hannah Eschrig got the surprise of her life in when her father, Air Force Master Sergeant Joe Myers, surprised her in her fourth grade classroom at Randolph Elementary School in Texas. Myers had been serving in Iraq; Eschrig was preparing to deliver a report that day on her father and his military service.http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/47001692.html
In an video posted on YouTube, a shocked Eschrig breaks into tears as she realizes her father is there in person. She rushes into his arms for a huge hug. While the video is titled "Tricked on Halloween," the emotional reunion actually happened in June of 2009.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RlF205rU8c

Air Force Sergeant Home Early From Iraq to Suprise Daughter

As fourth-grader Hannah Eschrig sits in her classroom preparing to deliver a report about her father's military service in Iraq, the door opens. A stunned and crying Eschrig rushes into her dad's arms. Air Force Sergeant Joe Myers was able to return two weeks early from Iraq to surprise his daughter.

As one that lost his Father in Vietnam, I can't even say how touching this is to me. I am so proud of what these soldiers do every day.
