By September 2009, the iPod Touch range received new prices. The 8 GB model was priced at $199 while the 32 GB and 64 GB models became available for $299 and $399 respectively. Currently there are three models with 8GB, 32GB and 64GB storage capacity. The official prices are $199, $299 and $399 respectively. The two more expensive models also support Bluetooth and have special earphones that include a remote control and microphone. It allows voice recording and control of some basic features of the device without removing it from a pocket. The iPod Touch has voice control for music playback, which gives a user the ability to say "Play artist Bob Dylan" to select and play that artist's songs.

British iPod Touch fan Nick Haley created a homemade YouTube advertisement for the device to the tune of CSS's Music Is My Hot Hot Sex.
