Mahalo.com launches "world's best search result" contest; three iPhones to be given away.
July 3rd, 2007, Santa Monica, California: Mahalo.com, the world first human powered search engine, is giving away three iPhones to three lucky -- and talented -- individuals who can write the world's best search result over the next 10 days. The search results must be 100% hand-written and include Mahalo's signature "Top Seven," "Guide Note," and "Fast Facts" elements. Users can pick any possible search term in the world except for the 6,000 already created by Mahalo.
"The search terms can be obscure, but the results need to be absolutely fantastic" said Mahalo.com CEO and founder Jason Calacanis. He added, "I'm sure some folks will come up with highly entertaining results."
To enter the contest users must create a search result page similar to Mahalo.com's hand crafted, spam-free results. Each result must have at least 20 links and three sections. Users can enter by posting their results to a personal blog or by emailing their search result to iphonecontest@mahalo.com
The contest is open now through midnight on July 13th
