iPhone China contains links about the potential release of the iPhone in China. Currently it the phone is not available in China.

Despite Apple offering the iPhone 3G to 70 countries, China was not included. Japan and Hong Kong however have been included in the initial 22 countries receiving the phone on July 11, 2008.

Several iPhone clones have been created in China and offered for sale. They tend to have a similar look and copy many features of the real thing. In many cases they include Apple logos. Considered a clear violation of trademark and copy write infringement, these phones are not legally sold in the United States.
