Internet Explorer 8

Internet Explorer 8 is the next generation of web browser from Microsoft and is currently in development. Microsoft released a second test version of the browser (beta 2) on August 27, 2008.

1. Activities: Commands that allow a user to launch an online service from any web page. For example a user could create a blog post based on content they are currently viewing.
2. WebSlices: The ability to snip parts of a web page and subscribe to it's updates. Similar to Active Desktop, a feature that was introduced as part of Internet Explorer 4 in 1997.
3. Safety Filter: An update to the existing phishing filter of Internet Explorer. Prevents web sites that are known to contain malware from loading.
