Insane Clown Posse, formerly known as, The Inner City Posse is a Rap duo from Detroit, Michigan, consisting of Violent J Joseph Bruce and Shaggy 2 Dope Joseph Utsler. They are known for performing in ghastly stylized clown makeup, making for an aesthetic reminiscent of professional wrestlers. The pair have been criticized for the violence in their lyrics, as well as for a perceived lack of skill (Rolling Stonehttp://www.rollingstone.com/artists/insaneclownposse called them "the ultimate wack MCs"), but their legion of fans, known as Juggalos, don't seem to mind. Due to their dark themes and explicit lyrics, Insane Clown Posse has been categorized as part the rap subgenre Horrocore, along with New York City's Necro. Juggalos, and Jugalettes, is a name given to all of the very powerful fans of the band Insane Clown Posse. The Juggalo Family, is outrageous in numbers, but they consider themselves as a dedicated family. While the Juggalo's and Juggalette's claim to only be family, it is only an opinion.
