Ingrid Rivera was a 24-year-old woman whose body was found in a utility closet on the roof of the Spotlight Live karaoke club in New York City's Times Square. Rivera had attended a birthday party for rapper Lil' Kim on August 3, 2008 and was reported missing on August 5. On August 6, her body was discovered.
The day after Rivera was found dead, bar employee Syed Rahman confessed to beating Rivera to death with a pipe at around 2:45 a.m. on the night of the party. A friend of Rivera's alleges that Rahman had been making unwelcome sexual advances toward Rivera the night of the party.
