Infinite Undiscovery Walkthrough Underwater Palace

This is last part of our complete Infinite Undiscovery game guide, featuring Underwater Palace.

Gameplay

In the real-time world of Infinite Undiscovery, the player selects a party of four characters from a possible pool of eighteen. Led by the young flute player Capell, focus has been placed on making use of each character's unique abilities as part of a variety of team combinations throughout the game. Though the usual group size is four, teams may comprise up to twelve members for specific battle sequences.

As your team encounters enemies in the game world, the focus seamlessly transitions from the traditional RPG elements into a next generation real-time action game combat system. The game is said to make use of all five senses, so keep in mind that enemies can hear and smell you, as well as see you.

Underwater Palace

  • CUTSCENE: Iskan Du Bal is introduced as the last surviving loyal Knight of Leonid the Dreadknight, and a former knight of Cassandra.

Mini-Boss of Underwater Palace

  • MINI-BOSS: Iskan Du Bal, weak against Earth magic (250% damage), strong against Water magic (50% damage)
  1. Iskan takes a little bit of time to defeat, Eugene is a great character to use in the fight against him. I suggest using a team of Capell, Touma, Komachi, and Eugene - combos galore, and Eugene does Earth damage, which gives extra damage to Iskan Du Bal. Keep attacking and he'll drop, giving you passage into the Underwater Palace.
  2. TIP: If you defeat Iskan with a character other than Capell you'll win a Situation Bonus for an extra 35,000 EXP.
  • CUTSCENE: Iskan tells Capell about his origins, then opens the door to the interior of the palace.
  1. There's a chest behind the Teleport Pad here with a Solar Necklace. Use the Pad to go up to the next floor - there are nine total.

Floor Two

  1. There's a chest with a Feeble Cape on this floor.

Floor Three

  1. There's a chest with a Phoenix Feather Jacket on this floor - right after a fight with another couple of Eye monsters. They only take 100% damage from Aether magic, and no damage from Air magic, so just keep attacking them and use the Teleport Pad at the end.

Floor Four

  1. You'll fight Frost Gigas and some mages and soldiers here - the chest contains a Feeble Wristband. Teleport to the next floor.

Floor Five

  1. Fight the Tarasque enemy (it takes 250% damage from Water magic), and teleport to the next floor.

Floor Six

  1. You'll fight some Queen Hornets here, and a chest with Phoenix Feather Hood is in it's usual location, so head up to the next floor.

Floor Seven

  1. You'll fight Greed here, similar to Envy that you fought earlier on. Defeat him just like you did the other - watch out for the Skeleton enemies he summons, and keep attacking until he falls.

  2. You'll get some Phoenix Feather Boots from the chest here.

Floor Eight

  1. You'll finally get a save point here - along with Genma, so use this opportunity to rest and save the game, and restock your inventory.

  2. There's an Amarlista in the chest here.

Floor Nine

  1. You'll fight a Kraken here - it's weak against Earth magic (250% damage), so use Eugene to the full extent here. You can always go back and use Genma again, so don't be afraid to go all out.

  2. There's a chest here with a Sovereignty Ring. Use the Teleport Pad.

Underwater Palace Chests

  1. Solar Necklace: First floor.

  2. Feeble Cape: Second floor.

  3. Phoenix Feather Jacket: Third floor.

  4. Feeble Wristband: Fourth floor.

  5. Phoenix Feather Hood: Sixth floor.

  6. Phoenix Feather Boots: Seventh floor.

  7. Amarlista: Eighth floor.

  8. Sovereignty Ring: Ninth floor.

Boss of Underwater Palace

  • CUTSCENE: Leonid faces the Liberation Force, and summons Karathos to deal with them.
  • BOSS: Karathos, weak against Earth magic (250% damage), strong against Water magic (50% damage)
  1. He's slow, stupid, and has a lot of HP, so lay into him with as much Earth-based damage as you can get your hands on. Do not use Water magic against him - he'll heal a bit if you do. Use "Focus" Battle Tactic, and he'll drop like a stone. You'll obtain a Karathos Helmet from the battle.
  • CUTSCENE: Leonid is still mortal - he feels betrayed by "the One".
  • BOSS: Leonid, weak against nothing, strong against Earth and Water magic (50% damage)
  1. Leonid takes 100% damage from all other elements, so avoid using Earth and Water magic against him. He'll be surrounded with Chainspikes - destroy them all to drop his shield, and attack him like mad until he falls. Avoid the attacks you can - the one where he shoots chains through the ground is almost guaranteed to hit - and he'll fall.
  2. You'll unlock the Vengeance at Last Achievement after beating Leonid, and a cutscene plays.
  • CUTSCENE: Veros' spirit comes down and saves Leonid from the Liberation Force.
  1. Save your game, and head through the door up the stairs.

To Lunar Sanctuary

  • CUTSCENE: The Force confronts the Onyx Chain - it can't be cut, not even by Capell, as it's connected the other way around than the other chains - instead of running from the moon to the planet, it runs from the planet to the moon. It's link is on the moon - Savio explains about the rite of Lunar Passage, and he, Touma, and Seraphina perform it. The Liberation Force heads up the Onyx Chain to the Lunar Sanctuary.

Lunar Sanctuary

  1. Just move forward until you trigger a cutscene.
  • CUTSCENE: The Liberation Force meet Veros the Crimson One, who offers Capell the Crimson Sword and the position of his Emissary on earth, but Capell hesitates. He has a vision of Faina, Leif, and Sigmund - and denies Veros' blessing. Veros admits that he wants to destroy the world, and that the chains are his idea - the Force decide to fight him.

Onyx Chain

  • BOSS: Leonid, weak against nothing, strong against Earth and Water magic (50% damage)
  1. Just like you did back in the Underwater Palace, beat Leonid down - he's gained a new attack where he jumps in the air and fires an energy blast at you, so avoid it, and one more attack where he flails chains around randomly as he walks. Avoid the two, and use the same tactics before to defeat him. Thankfully he doesn't start with a shield this time.
  • CUTSCENE: Veros is highly upset, and prepares to fight the Liberation Force for daring to go against a god.
  • BOSS: Veros, weak against nothing, strong against nothing
  1. Veros is fought in three steps. First, he sits in a chair surrounded by glyphs that spin around him and rotate - the rotating glyph is the attacking glyph. Destroy the glyphs when they're not rotating to proceed to step two.
  2. When the glyphs are destroyed, the chair becomes the next target. Destroy it quickly, and try to use "Save MP" Battle Tactic until the last phase - you'll need the MP for attacks and you won't have time to stop and use regenerative items for MP. When the chair is destroyed, we proceed to step three.
  3. Veros himself is a target - he isn't actually that difficult; it's the getting to him without losing all your MP and using up all your items that's the trouble. Wail on him with any type of magic attack and use Battle Skills. He'll fall.
  4. Congratulations, you've beaten Infinite Undiscovery! This unlocks Hard mode as well.
