This is Part 6 of our complete Infinite Undiscovery game guide, featuring The Sapran Refugees.
-
Gameplay
In the real-time world of Infinite Undiscovery, the player selects a party of four characters from a possible pool of eighteen. Led by the young flute player Capell, focus has been placed on making use of each character's unique abilities as part of a variety of team combinations throughout the game. Though the usual group size is four, teams may comprise up to twelve members for specific battle sequences. As your team encounters enemies in the game world, the focus seamlessly transitions from the traditional RPG elements into a next generation real-time action game combat system. The game is said to make use of all five senses, so keep in mind that enemies can hear and smell you, as well as see you.

The Sapran Refugees
- CUTSCENE: Capell and Aya inform the refugees that they'll help to escort them back to Sapran.
- Sigmund, Eugene, Balbagan, Edward, Savio, and Michelle will leave the party, and you'll see an in-game tutorial on Special Conditions.
- You'll see the red Condition Gauge - you'll need to complete the objective before the gauge runs out. In this instance, the gauge depletes every time a monster kills a refugee. Avoid letting the refugees get attacked to keep the gauge from depleting. Once you get the refugees back to the Oasis Save Point, another cutscene will play.
- TIP: To get the Guardian Achievement, you must help the Sapran refugees back to Sapran without letting any of them die.
- CUTSCENE: A girl named Faina can't find her brother Leif - he's disappeared. Faina asks Capell to go and find Leif for her.
- You'll need to talk to the refugees to get some information about where Leif might have run off to. Talk to them twice to get different information as necessary.
- When you've received information from two of the refugees about the boy, go back and talk to Faina to trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell tells Faina that he'll help her, making Aya jealous. Rico and Rucha stay behind to protect the refugees while Capell and Aya search for Leif.
- You'll need to head South through the rock overhang to trigger a short cutscene - Leif is alive, but he's surrounded by Swamp Serpents and a Narbear.
- Rush forward, make sure that your Battle Tactic is set to "Spread" - hopefully this will let Aya distract the Bear long enough for you to kill the Serpents. Defeat the Serpents quickly, and use combos to avoid having them hit Leif - if he dies, it's Game Over.
- When you've defeated the Serpents, focus your attention on the Bear, and change your Battle Tactic to "Focus" to keep the pressure on him. Use heal requests when necessary and you'll bring him down in no time.
- TIP: If you can save Leif before he takes any damage, you'll get the For the Children Achievement.
- CUTSCENE: The Bear runs off, but a giant Garuda flies down and grabs Leif - Capell and Aya must hurry to rescue him from this new danger.
- Connect with Aya and use her Ravaging Raptor CS to shoot the flying Garuda before the red gauge depletes to zero - if it does, it's Game Over. One shot is all you need.
- After you shoot the Garuda and Leif drops to the ground, another cutscene will play out.
- CUTSCENE: Leif apologizes for running off and worrying his sister, and Capell and Aya bring him back to Faina, who thanks Capell again and again. Capell, Aya, and the twins Rico and Rucha lead everyone back to Sapran. Rico and Rucha tell Capell and Aya that food will be served at Faina's house in gratitude for saving her brother, upsetting Aya again, and the most hilarious dance ever occurs.
- TIP: Escort all ten people back to Sapran without losing any of them to win a Situation Bonus for 7,500 EXP.
- TIP: If you can save Leif without him taking any damage, you'll win a Situation Bonus to obtain All Purpose Medicine and Miraculous Medicine.
-
Sapran Refugees Returned
- Talk to the residents to earn some praise, and use the Save Point in the Inn, which is the first building to the left as you enter Sapran. To get to Faina and Leif's place, from the entrance, head forward and to the first house on the right - this triggers a cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell, Aya, Rico, and Rucha eat at Faina and Leif's, and Faina talks to Aya about how great Capell is. Everyone eats, and tension gets higher between Aya and Faina...
- When you're finished with the town, head back to the entrance to go back to Oradian Dunes.
- CUTSCENE: Faina makes Capell promise her that they'll meet again, earning even more of Aya's wrath. An old man, the leader of the group of refugees before they returned to Sapran, teaches Capell how to use enchantments, which let Unblesseds draw power from items.
- You'll now be able to Enchant items, so stop and do that now for a bit - you should have enough items to get up to at least level 4 IC.
- When you're ready, head back to the area where you first ran across the refugees.
-
-
Heading to Fayel
- CUTSCENE: Capell and Aya decide to stop for the day, and Aya leads the party to a hill that gives a great view. Aya asks Capell to go gather firewood for the camp.
- Save your game, and then gather Firewood - you must collect all of the Firewood to continue. Examine every "??" point in the desert for Firewood, Red Berry Potions, and the like. Once you collect everything, head back to camp and talk to Aya.
- TIP: There is some hard-to-find Firewood just beyond Aya, and hidden in a Red Berry bush in the South West corner of the map.
- CUTSCENE: Aya uses her Lunaglyph to start a campfire, and Capell plays a badly named tune on his flute. They chat about why he joined after refusing her help in Graad Prison.
- You'll obtain some Training Notations, and be given a chance to reorganize the party - it's pointless to do so, however, as you only have the four members.
- Head South and you'll see the path where you first came across the Sapran refugees - head down the path to the large stone arch to find the entrance to Fayel.
-
-
Fayel
- CUTSCENE: Capell is astounded by how lively the city is, and Aya explains the difference between kings and emirs. She spots someone in her periphery, and rushes off, confusing Capell and the twins.
- Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the town - there's a path that leads to Oradian Mountains to the South West, and directly South is the way back to Oradian Dunes. You'll find vendors for items, weapons, and armor, and an Inn to the North before the entrance to the Fayel Castle. There's also a bar to the right of the Item Vendor that has a chest with Staff Paper in it. Further down the street heading towards the castle is a house with a treasure chest containing Silver Fox Fur. Across the street is the Inn, where you can save your game and grab an Oradian Chicken Sandwich from the chest in the first room up the stairs.
- Upgrade your armor and weapons, and grab yourself some items if need be. Head North to the entrance to Fayel Castle to trigger a cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: A guard informs Capell that an unknown member of his party will be undergoing a Lunar Rite soon. The scene changes to show the Fayel Emir performing the rite on Edward, who gains power over fire - and should he lose control, he's warned, he'll be burned to ashes. Capell joins up with the rest of the Liberation Force, and Aya appears - as a princess of Fayel, next in line to become the Fayel Emir. Sigmund tells everyone that, once Edward is recovered, they'll head for the Crimson Chain.
- The party is reunited, and another cutscene plays - probably the only reason this game is on two discs.
- CUTSCENE: Capell overhears Aya arguing with her father, the Fayel Emir - her parents are Aristos, and she doesn't want to become one. She storms off, finds Capell, and they go outside to talk. Capell plays another tune for her, and Aya informs him that all Aristos were once Meags - a Meag with the right abilities could become an Aristo by undergoing a rite. She also tells him why she's afraid to become an Aristo.
- You'll obtain some Prelude Notations, and start back in the Fayel Inn. Use the Save Point - you won't want to go through all those cutscenes again. Exit the inn to trigger another cutscene.
-
Fayel Sidequests
- After you complete Vesplume Tower, talk to Gina. Select "yes" and she'll tell you to talk to Aya. Find her in the Emir's castle, on the top floor, and talk with her. Talk to Gina on the way to Oradian Mountains to make the item appear, and the Worn Bow is the shining item at the very top. Return the Worn Bow for a Panacea.
- Connect with Eugene and talk to the Accessory Shopkeeper. She'll ask for the Blood of Fayel - this is in the Oradian Dunes, Northeast of the Oasis Save Point (it's a shining point). Return it to the Shopkeeper to obtain the Ring of Life.
-
Fayel Chests
- Staff Paper: In the Bar.
- Oradian Chicken Sandwich: In the first room up the stairs in the Inn.
- Silver Fox Fur: In the house across the street from the Inn.
- Miraculous Medicine: In the castle, at the end of the entrance hall in the ceremony room.
- Iron Bow: After you enter the castle, go left, then the first room on the right, use "Percipere".
- Granite Necklace: Across the hall from the above room.
- Charming Perfume: On the third floor of the castle, in Aya's room (use Vic or Komachi).
- 20,000 Fol: On the third floor of the castle, past the throne room in the Emir's room (use Vic or Komachi).
- Imperial Stewed Hot Pot: Same room as above.
-
A Day in the City
- CUTSCENE: A woman named Gina appears and confuses Capell with Sigmund. After Capell remedies her mistake, she tells him that she can't find Gustav, Aya's pet Crimson Bear. Capell agrees to search for Gustav.
- This isn't a long quest - walk back to the entrance to Fayel and speak with the kid walking around near Genma. He'll tell you that he saw a giant bear run past. Head back to Gina to tell her.
- CUTSCENE: Capell tells Gina that Gustav probably left the city, and Gina basically blackmails Capell into finding Gustav and bringing him back.
- From this point, instead of going back to Oradian Dunes, let's take a bit to get some extra exploring done.
- Go to the castle, and talk with Edward to unlock his Trait 3. Head North to the Lunar Rite chamber and grab a Miraculous Medicine from the treasure chest.
- Head back South, and take the West path, checking the door to the left to chat with Savio and grab a Granite Necklace from the treasure chest.
- Walk across the hall to talk to Sigmund and use "Percipere" to find another chest - this one contains an Iron Bow.
- Head upstairs and all the way East, then through the small door on the left to enter the Emir's Quarters. There's one unlocked chest in this room that contains Imperial Stewed Hot Pot, so get it and head back out of the castle.
- Now head to Oradian Dunes, and stay to the right. Head through the path through the rock to trigger a cutscene.
