This is Part 2 of our complete Infinite Undiscovery game guide, featuring Prologue.
-
Gameplay
In the real-time world of Infinite Undiscovery, the player selects a party of four characters from a possible pool of eighteen. Led by the young flute player Capell, focus has been placed on making use of each character's unique abilities as part of a variety of team combinations throughout the game. Though the usual group size is four, teams may comprise up to twelve members for specific battle sequences. As your team encounters enemies in the game world, the focus seamlessly transitions from the traditional RPG elements into a next generation real-time action game combat system. The game is said to make use of all five senses, so keep in mind that enemies can hear and smell you, as well as see you.

Graad Prison
- CUTSCENE: Capell, a traveling musician, is jailed for a resemblance to a warrior named Sigmund. He asks for food, and is knocked down by the guard. A woman enters through breaks in and kills the guard, taking the keys to save Capell - who she also believes is Sigmund. She's attacked from behind by another guard, and Capell is left face to face with two guards - picking up a sword, he faces them.
- This will be your practice battle with Capell. You'll receive some information on how to battle effectively in Infinite Undiscovery, and learn about the Defense Drive for parrying attacks.
- Make use of combo attacks to defeat the two guards (Capell gains the Shortsword from the previous cutscene), and trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell revives the girl, whose name is Aya, and tells her he isn't Sigmund. Aya convinces Capell to let her rescue him.
- Aya will join your party after the cutscene. She'll do healing for you, and you'll see some more in-game tutorials on using Magic and Items.
- TIP: Everything is done in an active time - even when you open your menu, you can still be attacked. Be careful about where you rest and open your menu.
- Aya will give you 3 Red Berry potions, 1 Blue Berry potion, and 5 Miraculous Medicines.
- More tutorials will appear as you progress through the dungeon. Be on the lookout for Treasure Chests, which will trigger another in-game tutorial explaining how to open them and about trapped Chests. In the jail-cell area of the Graad Prison map, you'll find two Chests - one contains Bronze Scale Greaves, and the other is locked. If you smash a locked Chest, the item inside may be broken, so save it for now. You'll be face to face with these two Chests after heading upstairs.
- After collecting those two Chests, head upstairs to collect a Black Berry potion (it's inside the jail cell with no prisoner), then head back down until you reach the save point.
- The man in the jail cell near the save point wants you to give a coin to his family - accept it, and you'll receive an Eagle Emblem Gold Coin.
- Save your game at the save point, and head down the hallway next to it. You'll trigger a cutscene where Aya will warn Capell to be careful not to let the guards notice him. Another tutorial will appear to explain about Connecting to allies.
- Connect to Aya (hold RB and select her with X), and use her Ravaging Raptor skill on the small red barrel by the guard. Then explore the area - there's a treasure chest in front of the elevator that contains a Bronze Scale Helmet. Then get on the elevator to trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell and Aya talk, and Aya tells Capell about the Order of Chains and what they've done - how the Dreadknight established the Order of Chains, and how they've been tying down the moon using chains. When a "Chain Wave" occurs, terrible things happen - monsters are now roaming the world. Then she tells vehemently tells Capell about Sigmund and how he's been destroying the chains that bind the moon.
- Use the lever on the right of the elevator door to call the elevator, then get in and use the lever inside the elevator to go up.
- From the entrance of the elevator, go around behind it and collect the Red Berry potion from the chest back there. Then, head towards the stairs.
- CUTSCENE: Alarms sound, and an Ogre, known as Master Vembert, breaks through the wooden door downstairs. Capel and Aya have to run.
- A tutorial will explain more about Fleeing. You'll need to destroy the barricades that block the way, fleeing the Guards as well to avoid being trampled by the Ogre. You can use Aya's Ravaging Raptor skill to destroy the red barrels you run across, instantly killing the enemies and destroying the barricade it's next to. At certain points the Ogre will jump up onto your section of staircase - you can hit him to knock him off.
- At the top of the staircase is a locked door with barrels to the ride side. Use Aya's Ravaging Raptor skill to destroy the red barrels when the Ogre gets next to them to knock him down several flights of stairs. He'll drop the Prison Keys.
- TIP: Before you leave the dungeon, go back and destroy all the barricades and red barrels - you'll earn the Barrel of Lulz achievement, and a Situation Bonus for destroying all the barricades - this situation bonus comes in the form of a free HP and MP refill.
- Use the Prison Keys on the locked door you encountered earlier, destroy the barricade, and use the save point. There are three treasure chests behind the save point - the one on the far left has Miraculous Medicine, the middle one has Bronze Scale Armor, and the far right one has a Red Berry.
- To the left of the treasure chests is a door that leads to the Graad Woods. An in-game cutscene at the end will show the Ogre reviving, and the guards send out hounds after our heroes.

Graad Prison Chests
- Black Berry Potion: Top of the stairs, on the left. Smash it - you can't re-enter the prison.
- Bronze Scale Greaves: Beside the above chest.
- Black Berry Potion: Upstairs of the Save Point, inside the cell.
- Bronze Scale Helmet: After you shoot the first explosive barrel, opposite the elevator.
- Red Berry Potion: After using elevator, go behind elevator.
- Miraculous Medicine: On the stairs leading up to Graad Woods.
- Black Berry: After defeating Vembert, head back down and enter his room.
- Red Berry Potion: In room with Save Point at exit.
- Bronze Scale Armor: In room with Save Point at exit.
- Miraculous Medicine: In room with Save Point at exit.
-
Graad Woods
- CUTSCENE: Aya tells Capell that they must be careful in the Graad Woods - sneaking through the shadows to get past guards will be the best tactic.
- An in-game tutorial on Detection pops up - read it, it's very important. By attacking an enemy that doesn't detect you, you can do extra damage with "surprise attacks".
- Your mini-map will be blurry unless you're near a torch - your menu's map, however, will always be clear. Use this to your advantage as you progress through the map.
- TIP: Using Aya's Ravaging Raptor skill while undetected is a great way to perform critical attacks.
- There's a treasure chest next to the first guard that holds a Red Berry potion. Head South, then West down a path that triggers a cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Aya spots some apples - they're delicious, but they smell. Some animals like the scent, and she can hit them with her bow - however, it might make some noise.
- Use Aya's Ravaging Raptor to shoot down the two Burguss apples and collect them. Continue following the path South at the bend, which turns and heads back East. Keep following the path until the end and you'll trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Guards run through the Woods, looking for Capell and Aya. They have lights, which give them the advantage.
- You get a choice to either avoid the guards, or fight them. Go ahead and fight them to gain EXP - the guards aren't that difficult. Head South, defeating the guards as you go. Check by the trees for Herbs, which you can collect Medical Herbs from.
- The path will head back East, so follow it and you'll trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Wolves rush towards Capell and Aya.
- Continue East, and you'll be attacked by four Wolves. Defeat them using combos, then keep moving forward. You'll encounter Giant Wasps - defeat them quickly.
- TIP: If you find Rotten Fruit, don't pick it up - the smell attracts the Giant Wasps. Unless you want to fight them, that is.
- The path will fork - take the East Branch (the West Branch is a dead end). There's a treasure chest by the light down the East Branch that contains a Blue Berry potion.
- TIP: You get more EXP from surprise attacks - the current EXP, plus an additional 50%. It also increases the rate at which rare items drop from enemies.
- Continue following the path, which will begin to head West, then North and back down. You'll encounter Giant Wasps and guards again - they should be easy fodder at this point. Giant Wasps can perform a move called "Stinksting", avoid it.
- Once the path heads North and turns West, there's a treasure chest behind the first torch that holds a Miraculous Medicine.
- Head South, and loot the treasure chest on the light for a Black Berry Potion. Head West, and you'll trigger a cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell and Aya are blocked by the Ogre, who jumps from over the trees to chase them down.
- You'll be chased by the Ogre through a one-way path that contains each enemy you've encountered. A treasure chest at the end of the section that heads North holds a Miraculous Medicine. Once you reach the bridge, another cutscene will happen. Don't worry about trying to defeat the enemies on your way through the path - the Ogre will cause severe damage if you stop to fight everything.
- TIP: Shoot down all the apples in the Woods to get the Situation Bonus, and obtain a Blue Berry Potion.
-
Graad Woods Chests
- Red Berry Potion: Close to the first guard you Surprise Attack.
- Blue Berry Potion: Head to the lower right of the first split path.
- Miraculous Medicine: From the above chest, continue to the left of the split path.
- Black Berry Potion: After cutscene, head North, it's at the end of the right-hand path.
- Memoirs of a Warrior: At the end of the Woods where it connects to Luce Plains, to the left behind a cracked rock (use Balbagan or Gustav).
- Charming Perfume: In the water by the bridge (use Komachi).
-
Friends
- CUTSCENE: Aya and Capell begin arguing - Aya blames Capell for everything that's happened so far. They decide to leave, but Capell insists on carrying Aya in his arms, as she's exhausted. Aya compliments Capell, and they continue moving. Aya attempts to recruit Capell as wolves sneak up to them, leading lots of guards and the Ogre to their location. Aya decides to fight, but only knocks one guard down before another falls dead from an arrow wound - Sigmund is standing behind them on a boulder. The guards try to fight Sigmund, and thousands of arrows fly down, killing the guards. The Ogre and wolves run off. Sigmund checks on Capell, and everyone notices the significant similarity between their appearances. Sigmund tells Edward to lead the way back to camp. Balbagan appears to check on Sigmund, and Edward warns him to pay proper respects to Sigmund instead of being so familiar. Genmo and Eugene also appear, and everyone notices Capell's resemblance to Sigmund.
- There's a Fresh Herb next to Aya's location, and a save point at the bottom portion of camp. Talk to everyone, then talk to Aya to get another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Aya and Capell talk about the Liberation Force. Capell tells Aya how he prefers playing music on his Flute to fighting, and Aya gets mad and tells him his attitude is terrible. Edward agrees, calling Capell a coward. Aya tells Capell to go away. Aya collapses, and Edward makes mention of an "old wound". Capell rushes off to find Sigmund, and soon everyone is clustered around Aya. Eugene says that Aya suffers from a Lunaglyph curse, which isn't treatable with regular medicine. Edward talks of going to destroy the local chains that hold the moon in place, and Eugene agrees. Sigmund states that a village is nearby, and assigns Capell to take Aya to the town for treatment. Edward disagrees vehemently, but Capell agrees. Sigmund gives Capell his sword for safe passage through Burguss.

Secret of the Claridian
- You obtain the Emblazoned Sword from Sigmund. You must carry Aya, which restricts your movements, and you gain the ability to make a Healing Request. The others will follow you to protect you as you carry Aya through the Woods. Explore the Woods fully - even though the others are fighting your battles, you still gain EXP for each enemy defeated.
- Keep an eye out for Herbs as you walk around - you can harvest them with the A button.
- When you get far enough, the game will ask if you'd like to save. Save, then continue.
