This is Part 8 of our complete Infinite Undiscovery game guide, featuring Disc Two.
Gameplay
In the real-time world of Infinite Undiscovery, the player selects a party of four characters from a possible pool of eighteen. Led by the young flute player Capell, focus has been placed on making use of each character's unique abilities as part of a variety of team combinations throughout the game. Though the usual group size is four, teams may comprise up to twelve members for specific battle sequences. As your team encounters enemies in the game world, the focus seamlessly transitions from the traditional RPG elements into a next generation real-time action game combat system. The game is said to make use of all five senses, so keep in mind that enemies can hear and smell you, as well as see you.

Disc Two Overview
- The beginning of disc 2 is almost entirely cutscenes for the first 30 min. or so. You won't be able to Connect to any of your party members until you leave Fayel, and there will be changes made to the party members that you'll discover. I've chosen not to do the Bihar Mines until later on in the game, so instead of that information being before Port Zala, you'll find that information after the destruction of the Amber Chain in Dais.
Back in Fayel
- CUTSCENE: The party returns to Fayel to the cheers of the townsfolk. Everyone rests, and during the night, Capell awakens inside the Emir's castle.
- Head downstairs to trigger a cutscene of Edward fussing about Capell imitating Sigmund.
- From there, head out of the castle to the Inn. Go upstairs to the first door to see a cutscene of the twins Rico and Rucha, half-asleep, wishing Capell some cheer.
- Head further down the Inn hallway, and you'll trigger another cutscene of Eugene talking to Capell about Sigmund - how he was just a man in his eyes.
- Go to the door directly across the hall to watch a scene with Capell and Michelle now talking about Sigmund, and how he would push her to achieve things.
- Finally, the Inn is finished. Leave the Inn and go to the entrance to Oradian Mountains to trigger a scene with Balbagan.
- CUTSCENE: Balbagan leaves the party - now that Sigmund is dead, Balbagan has no reason to continue on the quest to destroy chains. Sigmund promised him a fight re-match after they had "saved the world", but now that Sigmund wouldn't be around to fight him again, saving the world has no priority to Balbagan.
- Balbagan is the second person to leave the party this quickly - first you lost Sigmund, now Balbagan. If you relied heavily on Balbagan before, you'll need to do some quick tactic re-working to stay afloat from here on out.
- Go back to the castle, up the stairs, and to the large door across the hall from the Emir's private quarters to get to the roof. This triggers another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell enjoys the view from the roof, and plays a tune on his flute - until he hears Aya crying behind him. She comes around, and they talk about Sigmund, and how Capell must try to be better.
- You'll obtain some Fantasia Notations, and another cutscene will play.
To Port Zala
- CUTSCENE: Capell says a quick prayer to Sigmund, asking for his help. Then he, Aya, Gustav, and Edward leave - everyone else has left them. Or have they? Eugene, Savio, the twins, Michelle, and Dominica show up as they're leaving to go with them. They all decide to head to Port Zala, but Edward is getting worse and worse about complaining.
- From Fayel, head due North to find the entrance to Port Zala.
Port Zala
CUTSCENE: Once the Liberation Force arrives in Port Zala, they learn from the locals that a giant tsunami hit Zala, and that another one is on the way. The locals believe that the tsunamis are being caused by a chain that's appeared on the beach, and Capell tells them (with help from Edward) that he'll destroy the chain.- Move South to the Inn and use "Percipere" to uncover the hidden chest. It's locked, so save it for now. Be sure to save your game at the Inn - if you don't, should you get a game over, you'll have to completely restart in Fayel with all the cutscenes again.
- The house near the Inn has a chest with a Musician's Quill in it. Find Michelle - there's a chest nearby with Zala Rock Salt. Head to the General Store to upgrade your heavy hitters - Dominica, Edward, and Gustav all have weapons and/or armor upgrades to get. Head East to the Pier.
- CUTSCENE: Faina and Leif appear - they've become peddlers so that they can travel the world like Capell and his friends.
- Faina is now a viable source of IC materials and items. Check with her now if you want to try your hand at cooking.
- Further East is Edward, but you don't have to talk to him right now. Move North onto the beach where Rico and Gustav are waiting, and continue to the entrance to Port Zala Beach.
Port Zala Sidequests
- Connect with Rico and speak to the dog on the beach. He's lost his master, and you need to find him, so go talk to the pickpocket by the well, and then the "mouse leader" in the warehouses. Talk to the cat by the fountain, and the owner should now appear. Speak to him, then the dog on the beach again to obtain Lux Sandals.
- After you sever the chain, there's a mess scattered about that you can return to the owners - first, the Rag. Take it to the Mayor's Wife to get a Gold Berry Potion.
- Take the Vase to the Mayor's Wife to obtain a Green Berry Potion.
- Give the Bouquet to the Mayor's Wife to obtain a Yellow Berry Potion.
- The Wooden Box goes to Martin in the Bar for 800 Fol.
- The Dentures are for the "mumbling old man" for 800 Fol.
- Give the Battered Notebook to the Mayor's Wife to gain a Blue Berry Potion.
Port Zala Chests
- 15,000 Fol: In the house to the left as you enter town (use Vic or Komachi).
- Premium Karathos: In the Inn, use "Percipere" to reveal it (use Vic or Komachi).
- Zala Rock Salt: South of the Inn, at the end of the dead end.
- Musician's Quill: In the Mayor's house.
- Sliced Fish: In the North warehouse at the bottom right of the town map.
- Sliced Deviant Fish: In the North warehouse at the bottom right of the town map.
- Sliced Deviant Fish: In the North warehouse at the bottom right of the town map.
- Sliced Salmon: In the North warehouse at the bottom right of the town map.
- Sliced Fish: In the South warehouse at the bottom right of the town map.
- Fish Fin: In the South warehouse at the bottom right of the town map.
- Fish Fin: In the South warehouse at the bottom right of the town map.
- Zala Rock Salt: On the beach, close to the entrance to the Zala Coast.
- Memoirs of a Warrior: In the water before you fight Niedzielan, in the Zala Coast.
- 10,000 Fol: At the back of the area you fight Niedzielan in; four waves must hit the beach for it to spawn in.
Zalan Coast
- CUTSCENE: Edward and Aya argue about what to do - save Zala, or save themselves. Capell decides to try destroying the chain, and the rest of the party agree, even Edward (though reluctantly).
- There's not much to this area - move forward and a cutscene is almost instantly triggered.
Cerulean Chain
- BOSS: Niedzielan, weak against Earth magic (250% damage), strong against Water magic (0% damage)
- CUTSCENE: Niedzielan, a Knight of the Order of Chains, awaits the heroes. Capell means to destroy the chain, and tells his party members to back him up.
- To fight Niedzielan, there are two parts. First, you must stun the Knight, then attack the chain when the shield drops. Tsunami waves will crash down from time to time, causing damage, and each time the wave recedes, more enemies (i.e. Gremlinfish) will appear to help the Knight.
- Avoid the waves by hiding inside the shelves of the rock formations on the beach. Your controller will begin to vibrate when a tsunami is on the way, so immediately move to the rock formation and change the Battle Tactic to "Focus" to keep them near you. If you can avoid every tsunami wave, you get the Tide of Battle Achievement.
- Between waves, pummel the Knight using the "Focus" Battle Tactic. To help with this, use Capell to give everyone an Earth attack enchantment before starting the fight to deal more damage. When he's stunned, the shield around the chain drops.
- When the shield drops, run and attack the chain. It also suffers more damage if you use an Earth enchantment attack, so combo it repeatedly, and use Cutting Gavote to deal multiple blows in a shorter time.
- Keep doing this, and defeating the enemies the tsunami waves spawn, and Niedzielan will fall. You'll earn the Ceruleus Chain Achievement.
- CUTSCENE: Capell severs the chain, and is washed away by one final tsunami wave. The party finds him and crowds around him, congratulating him on his good work. Edward, however, seems to still dislike Capell.
- TIP: If you can smash the chain without being swept away by the tidal waves, you win a Situation Bonus for 20,000 EXP.
Back in Port Zala
- Head back to the Inn to trigger a cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Dominica and Edward argue - Dominica backs Capell as the party leader, making Edward furious enough to storm off. Capell leaves to find him.
- Head back to the Pier to trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell talks to Edward, who mentions how he became a member of the Liberation Force, and why he was so loyal to Sigmund. He tells Capell he'll never be Sigmund, and leaves. Aya appears to give Capell some uplifting words, and mentions that the moon looks weird.
- Exit the Inn to see a short cutscene - boats have appeared at the Pier again. Go to the boat and speak with the man to board it, and head to Kolton.
Kolton
- CUTSCENE: Capell and crew get off the boat at Kolton. Edward continues ribbing Capell, and then Savio points out smoke. Screams can be heard, and they rush to a tragic scene of locals dying. Only Capell seems able to see the enemy, so he plays Percipere on his flute, revealing the monster to the rest of the team.
- An in-game tutorial on how to deal with invisible enemies will appear. Play "Percipere" to reveal invisible enemies so that party members with Lunaglyphs can attack it.
- TIP: Since Capell has no Lunaglyph, he can't do any damage to the invisible enemies, even after he reveals it, so just keep playing "Percipere" to keep the enemy visible for your party members.
- Defeat the invisible monster here within one minute to complete a Situation Bonus, earning a Blue Berry Powder in the process.
- CUTSCENE: Eugene asks Capell what happened, and Capell explains. Eugene tells him to use his song if he sees any other invisible enemies, and the locals tell them they'll find them some rooms to use. Ed's Lunaglyph seems drawn to the monster's corpse, and Capell and Aya enjoy the Lunar Rain, until Edward shows up - and collapses. A kid named Vic mentions that he knows of a healer that could help who lives in Halgita.
- Edward and Michelle leave the party, and Vic joins.
Kolton Sidequests
- Talk to Oreg in the Southwest section of town to receive a Pair of Broken Glasses. Give them to Simon's grandparents in the Northwest section of town.
Kolton Chests
- Kolten Omelet: From the Inn, head right, left through the gate, and the chest is in the house on the left.
- Lux Sandals: Inside the Emporium.
- Shamshir: On the East side of the Church courtyard.
- 10,000 Fol: West of the entrance to the above chest (use Vic or Komachi).
- Michelle's Diary: In the Church, at the back of the pews.
- Sacrificial Doll: In the Bar, upstairs on the West balcony.
Getting Around Kolton
- The layout of Kolton is a little tricky to get used to, until you complete the map - it's set up in a circle with the Church in the North, the Inn in the East, and so on. You can use Vic to open locked treasure chests, so Connect with him (find him in-town and press RB when close, then A) and head North. There's a treasure chest in the Church behind the pews containing Michelle's Diary, a weapon for Michelle that you can't equip until later. To the East in the Church courtyard is a chest containing a Shamshir, and to the West a chest with 10,000 Fol.
- Find the Bar, and head upstairs to collect a Sacrificial Doll from the treasure chest.
- Head to the South section of town and enter the Emporium to find a chest containing Lux Sandals.
- There's a house in the Southeast section of town with a chest that contains a Kolton Omelet.
- When you've collected the chests, head to the Inn to save, then continue East to the Teleport Pad to go to the Cobasna Timberlands.
