This is Part 9 of our complete Infinite Undiscovery game guide, featuring Cobasna Timberlands.
Gameplay
In the real-time world of Infinite Undiscovery, the player selects a party of four characters from a possible pool of eighteen. Led by the young flute player Capell, focus has been placed on making use of each character's unique abilities as part of a variety of team combinations throughout the game. Though the usual group size is four, teams may comprise up to twelve members for specific battle sequences. As your team encounters enemies in the game world, the focus seamlessly transitions from the traditional RPG elements into a next generation real-time action game combat system. The game is said to make use of all five senses, so keep in mind that enemies can hear and smell you, as well as see you.
-
Cobasna Timberlands
- You'll run across new enemies, among them the Green Drago Warrior and Green Drago Chief. These are the ones that'll cause the most trouble for you, as they like to come in groups.
- To get to Halgita, you'll need to become familiar with the way the Timberlands are laid out - they are comprised of singular paths connected at four-way hubs. Some paths are blocked with an energy barrier that'll teleport you to a location somewhere in the Timberlands. Halgita is East until you get to the second hub, then South, East at the first hub you come to, and South. There's a chest on this last path that contains some Malus Wood.

-
Halgita
- CUTSCENE: It's learned that Halgita is Sigmund's hometown.
- Head on up to the 3rd floor and head to Her Majesty's chamber.
- CUTSCENE: Capell fools Her Majesty as they discuss the eight chains that have been destroyed. She gives Capell, whom she believes to be Sigmund, a token of her gratitude. As he's leaving, Capell runs into some of Sigmund's friends. Vic informs him that he's caught wind of a healer in the Timberlands.
- You'll obtain 100,000 Fol, the token of Her Majesty's gratitude.
Halgita Sidequests
- Before you head back to Kolton, Faina will ask you for three Damask Cloths. Craft them for her to receive a Leif Doll, Faina Doll, and.
- If you donate 150,000 Fol to the Weapon Shopkeeper, you'll unlock more inventory and a Symphonic Baton for Rico.
- Talk to the Armor Shopkeeper to learn that the trade route between Kolton and Halgita is dangerous. Clear out 10 lizard enemies from the area where you teleport to Kolton to receive Garuda Hood and extended shop inventory.

Getting Around Halgita
- While you're in the Inn, get the chest to obtain a Panacea.
- On the 1st floor, you'll find a winding path that contains an Item Shop, an Accessory Shop, two Weapon Shops (one in the window, and the lady outside of it), and an Armor shop, along with a scattering of houses. Upgrade your weapons and armor as necessary.
- The house with the "active brother" and "quiet brother" has a chest that contains a Miraculous Medicine.
- The house that Genma and Rucha are in has a chest with Ebony Wood for the taking.
- Head down to Rico and play "Percipere" to reveal a chest with a Silk Shawl inside, then head up to the "interior" of Halgita. Connect with Vic on the way, he's standing right outside the Item Shop.
- Go to the Chapel where Eugene is located, and up the stairs on the left to find a chest with a Bishop Staff.
- On the 2nd floor, on the East side of the floor, are chests with a Sacrificial Doll and Staff Paper. In the Library, in the center, is a Karathos Wristband, up the stairs on the right. On the West side of the 2nd floor are chests containing Malus Wood, Black Berry Potion, and another Malus Wood - check each of the rooms. Head to the 3rd floor.
- The West side of the 3rd floor has two chests - one holds a Miraculous Medicine, the other 5,000 Fol. From here, you can head back out to the Cobasna Timberlands in search of the healer Vic has heard of. Go down to the 1st floor (use the elevator to get there faster), and South back into the Timberlands.
Back in Cobasna Timberlands
- You'll need to head North, then West to the hub. Head North until you can't any longer, and East. Walk into the barrier - it'll teleport you to the other side of the barrier close to Halgita.
- Go West, then North at the hub, and you'll come across a beast.
- CUTSCENE: A massive beast appears, then attacks!
Boss of Cobasna Timberlands
- BOSS: Orthos, weak against Water magic (250% damage), strong against Fire magic (50% damage)
- Orthos is nothing spectacular - just keep whittling him down, he'll fall easily enough. Use the "Focus" Battle Tactic to drop him quickly - you can also use Capell to enchant everyone with Water-based attack. When you finish, head East along the path.
- CUTSCENE:
- Go North, then West and through the barrier. Take the South fork, and then head North to trigger a cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell thanks Vic for helping the Liberation Force, and Vic recalls what happened to make him want to help. Then, as he crosses the river, he slips and almost falls in - but Capell rushes behind him and catches him, which strangely angers Vic. Capell gets pushed into the river by Vic, while a mysterious woman in a tree watches over him, sent by a man known as Lord Touma.
- Head North to trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Aya talks about how great she feels, as does everyone else. Capell sees the trees pulsating, and wonders if the Lunar Rain is causing them to grow.
- Head North again, and you'll find a Save Point. Save your game, and walk up to the house on the left of it to trigger another (much longer) cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell and the rest of the Liberation Force find the home of a mysterious individual who refuses to speak with them. Savio seems to recognize the voice, however - his former apprentice, Kiriya. The woman who was in the tree earlier is now in the bushes, spying on the Force as they enter Kiriya's house to learn about Edward's condition. Kiriya tells them is a Glyph Disease, and gives Capell an elixir which suppresses Lunar power while he recounts how, long ago, he was asked to find a way to erase Lunaglyphs. He tells the Force that he found a way by restoring the body to its purest form, before the Glyph was given - if you cut off a hand with a Lunaglyph, it appears on the stump, so purification is the only known means. It's made clear that Aristos are Meags that have undergone a transformation to harness a limitless amount of Lunar power, and that Edward is suffering from too much power, which could cause Vermification - he'd turn mad, and become an invisible monster. Savio asks Kiriya to join the Force.
Return to Kolton
- You'll obtain Lunytol and Kiriya will join your party. Head back to the river, and open the chest you find on the way to get a Black Berry Potion. Walk into the barrier, then walk East into the barrier. You can go south to get to Halgita from here, but you need to return to Kolton.
- To get to Kolton, head North, then West, then North, and West at the next hub until you find the Teleport Pad back to Kolton.
Saving Edward
- CUTSCENE: People are fleeing - it appears that, while Capell was gone, Ed's Lunaglyph burst and he went mad, attacking everyone. He fully vermifies into a beast, but Kiriya says there's still hope to save him.
- BOSS: Vermified Edward, no strengths or weaknesses (100% damage from all magic)
- There's a red gauge condition - you have to defeat Edward before the gauge runs out or it's Game Over. Use "Percipere" to reveal him, and a "Focus" Battle Tactic.
- Don't bother attacking him with Capell, as he'll do zero damage; just keep playing "Percipere" and using heal requests when you get low on health.
- After chasing Vermified Edward around the city, he'll fall, and another cutscene plays.
- TIP: If you can defeat Edward in less than 3 minutes, you'll earn a Situation Bonus in the amount of 20,000 bonus EXP.
- CUTSCENE: Capell pushes the Lunytol into Edward's chest, and Ed's past becomes visible to Capell - he watches as the past of Edward plays out before him. At the end of it, Capell saves Edward from slipping back into his Vermification state. Back at the Inn, Edward asks Capell why he didn't kill him, and Capell tells him that it wasn't necessary - they had a way to save him, so the answer was simple. Ed thanks him, and later tells everyone that he wants to leave the Liberation Force because, without a will to use his Lunaglyph, he feels he'd be a burden on the team as a stand-in Unblessed. Capell launches at him in anger that he himself should be the first to go, because he actually is an Unblessed, and storms off. Aya finds him and tells him that she doesn't care if he has no Glyph, but he must be more open with her. Edward comes to apologize and tells Capell he'd be happy to fight alongside him. Later, Faina finds Capell, causing another awkward situation, from which a jealous Aya drags him, and Capell tells the Force that they will head to Halgita.
- Edward and Michelle will rejoin the party here, and you'll receive 8 Lunar Suppressants. From here you need to head back to Halgita.
