This is Part 11 of our complete Infinite Undiscovery game guide, featuring Castle Valette.
Gameplay
In the real-time world of Infinite Undiscovery, the player selects a party of four characters from a possible pool of eighteen. Led by the young flute player Capell, focus has been placed on making use of each character's unique abilities as part of a variety of team combinations throughout the game. Though the usual group size is four, teams may comprise up to twelve members for specific battle sequences. As your team encounters enemies in the game world, the focus seamlessly transitions from the traditional RPG elements into a next generation real-time action game combat system. The game is said to make use of all five senses, so keep in mind that enemies can hear and smell you, as well as see you.

Castle Valette
- CUTSCENE: Most of the castle is underground, and the Force needs to split into three groups to take it on.
- First things first, I had the easiest time using the following teams:
- Group A: Capell, Touma, Komachi, Eugene
- Group B: Edward, Vic, Rico, Rucha
- Group C: Dominica, Aya, Gustav
- When you arrive, mages will teleport in to destroy the Teleport Pad, and create barriers. Defeat them to drop the barriers - you'll be defeating a lot of enemies to drop barriers here, so get accustomed to it.
- Head North, stopping in the second area to defeat the Iron Box Mimic and collect the Miraculous Medicine from the locked chest on the right. Keep heading forward and defeat the Skeleton enemies to proceed after the barrier drops.
- Take the left path and read the writing on the wall - use Komachi's Honeysuckle CS to hit the light over the door when it's blue to open the door and reveal chests, containing 1,000 Fol, 5,000 Fol, and 3,000 Fol.
- Head South, then East and North. Use Honeysuckle again to gain Feather Wristband, Viper Fang, and Glacial Delight. Head East and continue South to find a chest with Memoirs of a Mage inside.
- Backtrack and take the East path, then head North and use Honeysuckle to gain Junk, Crystallite Metal, and Memoirs of a Thief from the chests. Head East again, following the path. Fight the Skeletons, and when the barrier drops, move North.
- CUTSCENE: An enemy appears - the same one who's been resurrecting the Skeletons!
- Envy makes barriers and summons Skeleton enemies, but also happens to be weak against Air magic - use it to your advantage to take him down quickly. After Envy falls, you'll enter a room with a save point, so use it. You'll also find some writing on the wall giving you another cryptic riddle.
Chamber of Elements
- You'll get a Situation Bonus if you get through here without making mistakes, which gives you a full recovery of HP and MP.
- To get through, from the first room (Red), go through the white door, and so on with this color order - Red, White, Blue, Yellow, Purple, repeating. When you enter the Purple seal room, go through the Red door and continue the pattern until you get to the end of the Chamber of Elements. Making a mistake will warp you back to the beginning with status ailments, or status ailments and enemies.
- Upon exiting the Chamber of Elements, you'll be in a large room with one of your other parties moving across a suspended path - there's a chest on it that contains an Instrumental Sword - use Komachi to grab it, then head South and defeat the Mimic you encounter.
- Another riddle written on the wall before the following puzzle rooms will give you a cryptic message that roughly translates to "crimson gives you enemies, azure gives you chests, and emerald opens the path forward".
Orb Puzzle One
- There are two orbs, time your hits so that they freeze blue. Hit them quickly in sequence, as they will reset after a short period of time. This opens a door to three chests containing 40,000 Fol, Memoirs of a Hunter, and 6,550 Fol.
- Go back and hit the orbs so that they freeze green - they'll immediately turn black, and the door forward will open. Head through to the next room.
Orb Puzzle Two
- Do the same thing here as you did in the last one - freeze the orbs blue, and collect Rachnuvus Cloth, Rachnuvus Shell, and Capriccio Notations from the chests, then freeze the orbs green and head forward.
Orb Puzzle Three
- Use "Percipere" to reveal the orbs, then do the same as above to collect Blaze Metal x2, and a Salamander Skin.
- Follow the path to a door, and enter.
- CUTSCENE: Seranda appears to welcome the Force. They mockingly call out that there's no Knight awaiting them at this chain, to which she replies that she herself is the guarding Knight, and attacks.
Ashen Chain
- BOSS: Seranda, strong against everything (50% damage)
- Seranda is a free-floating pain to fight - she teleports around, uses massive attacks that can hit you from quite a distance away, and takes half damage from all magic attacks.
- Attack Seranda with everything you have, staying back to use heal requests when necessary and a "Focus" Battle Tactic. She doesn't summon minions or Faespheres, so you can keep attacking her, replenishing your MP and HP when needed.
- When you stun Seranda, the shield surrounding the Ashen Link will drop, and you can attack it - combo it like crazy to end the battle quickly. Three or four cycles without grinding for levels should be enough to destroy the chain.
- CUTSCENE: Seranda falls, telling the Force of her dedication to Leonid before disappearing. Capell cuts the chain, which brings the castle down, and they run to escape it.
- You'll unlock the Ashen Assailant Achievement.

Plodhif Caverns
- You'll be in Plodhif Caverns after cutting the Ashen Chain. There's a save point here, and Genma to let you rest and restock your inventory. If you're not carrying around 99 of all the items he sells by now, it's a good time to start.
- Head forward along the path to trigger a cutscene where Capell is knocked through a wall by a giant scorpion, separating him from the party. You'll be on your own for a bit - you'll realize just how much you've been depending on your party for healing, if nothing else. Move forward along the path, and the scorpion will unblock the path after you talk with Eugene (likely hitting you in the process).
- TIP: To avoid getting hit, run toward the scorpion and stay on the left edge of the cliff when you hear the beast's call.
- Head through the hole the scorpion busted through the wall, and continue forward. A barrier will appear and Michelle, Rico, and Rucha will appear to help you defeat the enemies. There's a chest here with Red Berry Powder. Head South, all available chests here are listed in the Plodhif Caverns Chests section.
- Head further South and a cutscene of the scorpion attacking Capell will play.
- CUTSCENE: The scorpion attacks Capell, who is saved by Balbagan. The party is reunited.
- Exit North to Pieria Marshlands, and watch the short cutscene to notice the moon being closer.
Plodhif Caverns Chests
- Mercurius Metal: After the save point, in the water on the right.
- Crystallite Metal: In the hall on the left after you get knocked through the wall.
- Mercenary Helmet: First chest across the gap that you need Komachi to grab.
- Genius' Quill: Second chest across the gap that you need Komachi to grab.
- Red Berry Potion: During the battle with the spider with the barriers in place, in the puddle on the West side.
- Rachnuvus Cloth: After the above chest, go South and head down the left dead end path of the two dead ends.
- Mysterious Medicine: Same area as above, use "Percipere" to reveal.
- 160,000 Fol: From chest 5, take the left and stick to the wall, use "Percipere" to reveal chest.
- White Berry Potion: From above chest, head forward and the chest is on the left after the first three spikes.
- Emyprean Cloth: Near the save point, behind the cracked rock.
Boss of Pieria Marshlands
- BOSS: Dragon, weak against Water magic (250% damage), strong against Fire magic (50% damage)
- The Dragon should be fairly simple to defeat at this point - avoid his fire attacks, and whack him when he touches down. When he falls, continue North to trigger a cutscene.
- TIP: Defeat the dragon within 2 minutes to win a Situation Bonus and obtain a Dragon Eye and Dragon Fang.
- CUTSCENE: The Liberation Force sets up camp to get out of the storm - they can't enter the Underwater Palace safely. Edward talks about how he's sworn to kill Leonid, and Capell has a nervous breakdown. More information on the party's current condition is given through scenes with Balbagan and the twins; Michelle and Gene; Touma and Komachi; Kristofer and Seraphina; Kiriya and Savio; Dominica, Gustav, and Vic. Aya and Capell talk, and Capell lets his feelings out.
- When you start, notice that Capell is much calmer than before - his vocal commands return to their previous states, and he's more polite.
- From where you start, use "Percipere" to reveal a chest with Dragon Hide in it.
- Save the game, and walk down the path to meet up with the others, triggering another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Capell feels better, and everyone breathes a sigh of relief at his betterment of condition.
- Move up the path to trigger a cutscene of everyone gazing at the Underwater Palace - the castle of the Dreadknight. Walk East to the Teleport Pad and use it to warp to the palace. Walk forward.
Pieria Marshlands Chests
- Atlantis Metal: Use Komachi to grab it when you first enter the Marshlands.
- Glutton Hide: In the area with the Dragon.
- Mysterious Medicine: Same as above.
- Dragon Eye: Same as above.
- Cassandra Banapple: Same as above.
- Pius Wood: Same as above.
- Dragon Hide: After the cutscene where the Force looks for shelter, in the structure behind you. Use "Percipere" to reveal.
- White Berry Powder: In the area where you fight the Dragon, behind a cracked rock (use Gustav or Balbagan).
