This is Part 5 of our complete Infinite Undiscovery game guide, featuring Burgusstadt.
Gameplay
In the real-time world of Infinite Undiscovery, the player selects a party of four characters from a possible pool of eighteen. Led by the young flute player Capell, focus has been placed on making use of each character's unique abilities as part of a variety of team combinations throughout the game. Though the usual group size is four, teams may comprise up to twelve members for specific battle sequences. As your team encounters enemies in the game world, the focus seamlessly transitions from the traditional RPG elements into a next generation real-time action game combat system. The game is said to make use of all five senses, so keep in mind that enemies can hear and smell you, as well as see you.

Burgusstadt
- CUTSCENE: A parade is being held in Burgusstadt to commemorate the severing of the Azure Chain. Capell is mistaken for Sigmund yet again, this time by a sultry brunette named Michelle, who refuses to believe that Capell isn't Sigmund. Sigmund himself arrives, however, to Capell's embarrassment. The party must move forward into Castle Burgusstadt.
- When you regain control, talk to the townspeople - they sometimes hold valuable information about things.
- Head to the Bar and tell the "lecherous old man" that you've also come to look at the pretty waitresses to receive 5 Red Berry Potions. Balbagan is off in the corner of the bar, next to a chest that contains Burguss Fruit Liquor. From there, head to the General Shop to collect the chest in the back that contains Luaun Sandals, and purchase some equipment upgrades for your party members. When you're all ready and set to go, head through the North gate, but grab the chest nearby for 330 Fol.
Burgusstadt Sidequests
- You must have Balbagan or Gustav to complete this one. Find the boy Ralph in one of the houses, and he'll tell you his friends lost his sword. Go to Luce Plains, and in the East is a cave blocked by a cracked rock. Head in, and you'll find a chest with Memoirs of a Mercenary. The enemy guarding the chest will drop the Toy Sword, take this back to the boy to obtain a Rabbit's Foot.
- Once Sigmund has undergone his Lunar rite, talk to the minister near Eugene to learn that he wants a Goir Fur. Go to Luce Plains and fight the Goir until you get one, and return it to him to obtain a Wisdom Coin.
Burgusstadt Chests
- Lauan Sandals: In the General Store.
- Burguss Fruit Liquor: In the Bar.
- 330 Fol: On the left when exiting the castle.
- Miraculous Medicine: After entering the castle, go right and enter the room where the Lunar Rite takes place.
- Soup Stock: After entering the castle, take a left, enter the left room.
- Sea Axe: After entering the castle, take a left, and enter the second room on the right.
Castle Burgusstadt
- Head down the left path of the castle to trigger a cutscene where Michelle explains why she feels like she does, and throws Capell a pity party.
- CUTSCENE: Michelle learns that Capell has no family, and promises to be like a sister to him, to his chagrin. Aya comes in to talk to Capell, and Sigmund and the rest of the party also enter to inform Capell and Aya that Sigmund has earned a Lunaglyph rite - he will be given a new Lunaglyph, which will let him control an amazing power. Sigmund, however, is known to not use Lunaglyphs - he rejects their abilities.
- Head north to trigger a short cutscene with Sigmund, then use "Percipere" to obtain a Sea Axe for Balbagan from the chest that appears.
- Head East to trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Sigmund undergoes the Lunaglyph rite, which Capell describes as "beautiful, but frightening".
- Once the ceremony is over, head back into the Lunaglyph room to obtain Miraculous Medicine from the chest on the right-hand side. You'll need to head to Sapran village now, so leave the castle and exit the South gate to re-enter Luce Plains.
- TIP: If you accepted the request to give a letter to Denton from "doleful man" in Nolaan, this is the town to find Denton in.
To Sapran
- Head South when you re-enter Luce Plains until you walk through a passage in the cliff face that leads you to Oradian Dunes.
- CUTSCENE: There is talk of an earlier defeat of the Liberation Force in this place - Rico and Rucha, however, are convinced that now the Liberation Force can't be defeated, because of their presence. Aya tells Capell that she realizes she must become stronger.
- You'll be forced to split into two parties - it doesn't really matter who is on what team, but I'd suggest keeping Balbagan on your team so that you can use him to break the large stones.
- Head directly East, and use Balbagan's Gigatackle CS to break the rock barrier leading to the chest - it contains 10,000 Fol. You'll encounter some Swamp Serpents and Garudas in the Oradian Dunes, but nothing too seemingly difficult. Head South and begin looking for a Save Point.
- TIP: Steer clear of the giant whirlwinds that appear here - they can cause damage and move randomly around, making avoidance difficult.
- When you reach the Save Point (I was only near it when it happened) a cutscene will play.
- CUTSCENE: Genma appears at Sigmund's command to inform him on the condition of Sapran Village, then disappears again. Sigmund decides to move forward.
- If you haven't had to chance yet, use the Save Point to save your game.
- Head South through the overhanging rock formation, and stay to the right to find the entrance to Sapran. To the right of the entrance is a chest with 1,000 Fol - collect it before you head in.
Oradian Dunes Chests
- While you're in the Oradian Dunes, be sure to keep an eye out for the following chests:
- 10,000 Fol: head right after entering Oradian Dunes, it's on a ledge blocked by a cracked rock (use Gustav or Balbagan).
- Staff Paper: After you pass the first sandstorm, take the left path and stay close to the wall until you find it.
- Memoirs of an Alchemist: At the Oasis Save Point, in the water (use Komachi).
- Eagle Eye: North of the Oasis Save Point (use Vic or Komachi).
- 1,000 Fol: Left as you leave Sapran.
Sapran
- CUTSCENE: Sigmund surveys the conditions - several ominous crystals are set up, and enemies are plentiful. A plan is formed - destroy the crystals, and eradicate the enemy presence.
- You'll need to split the party into three groups - two will destroy crystals, while one defeats the enemies. Due to the ease that crystals are destroyed, and because there are two Ogres waiting in town, assign your heavy-hitters like Sigmund and Balbagan to the team that's going to fight monsters. Any combination will do, just make sure that Aya is on your team - her Ravaging Raptor CS will come in quite handy.
- Destroy the crystals the drop the energy shield that surrounds the town. Three crystals are hidden, requiring you to use "Percipere" to sniff them out - one apiece at the entrance and exit of town, and one in the building on the right as you head towards the exit. Also, there are crystals suspended above your head, so use Aya's Ravaging Raptor to destroy them in two hits. One is placed in a hard-to-spot area - the building on the left as you move towards the town exit.
- TIP: To get that last crystal, stand just outside of the entrance to the building when you invoke Ravaging Raptor to get an easy aim.
Sapran Sidequests
- After you destroy the chain you'll obtain a Bone Comb. Connect with Aya and talk to the elderly man to obtain a Marble Necklace.
Sapran Chests
- There are no chests in Sapran.
Orange Chain
- CUTSCENE: Sigmund and the rest of the Liberation Force have found the Orange Chain, and are confronted by another Knight of the Order, Semberas. Surrounded by enemies, Sigmund informs his allies to focus on the enemy. Seranda materializes to give Semberas her power, then disappears.
- BOSS: Semberas, weak against Water magic (250% damage), strong against Fire magic (50% damage)
- The quickest route is to stand back and pummel Semberas with CS attacks, like Peacock Plume. When using combo attacks, don't try for more than three at a time - Semberas won't be stunned into not attacking, and he can dish out a massive amount of damage. Be prepared to make heal requests and use restorative items when necessary.
- Semberas summons Faespheres during the battle that cast magic attacks at you - destroy them with one to two hits to avoid having to deal with them. They're rather difficult to dodge, so destroy them as soon as they appear on the battlefield.
- CUTSCENE: Semberas falls, and Sigmund orders Capell to his side. They approach the Orange Chain, and Sigmund tells Capell to destroy the Chain - to do the impossible task that only Sigmund himself could do. Capell attempts it, and to everyone's amazement, destroys the chain binding Sapran. A smile plays on Sigmund's lips before he orders them to continue towards Fayel.
- You'll receive the Orange Officer Achievement.
- Save your game, then head back out to Oradian Dunes to continue towards Fayel.
- TIP: Defeat Semberas within two minutes to win a Situation Bonus for Steel Metal and Granite.
To Fayel
- Head North from the entrance to Sapran towards the Oasis Save Point, then turn West and stay towards the Southwest. Continue moving until you come across a mass of people standing near a Save Point.
- CUTSCENE: Eugene asks Capell to go speak with the refugees ahead - perhaps they could be assisted in some way.
- Talk to each of the refugees to learn a bit about them, and then to Aya, Rico, and Rucha. These are Unblesseds - people who don't have Lunaglyphs because they were born under the New Moon. They evacuated to avoid certain death, but now live as desert hermits with no home. Go talk to Sigmund after speaking to everyone to trigger another cutscene.
- CUTSCENE: Sigmund wants to push on, leaving the refugees where they are. Capell asks for permission to help them, but is forbidden, leaving him no option but to threaten leaving the Liberation Force if he isn't allowed to help the refugees. Sigmund gives him seven days to return them to their home and meet him in Fayel, and assigns Aya to make sure he comes back, as well as Rico and Rucha to "keep an eye" on Capell.
- You'll obtain 4 Red Berry Potions, 2 Black Berry Potions, and 3 Miraculous Medicines after the cutscene.
