In inFamous, an unknown group of terrorists have detonated an experimental weapon in Empire City. Much of the city is destroyed. The main character, Cole McGrath, inexplicably survives and begins to develop superpowers that allow him to manipulate electrical energy. Other inhabitants of the city witness him crawling out of the debris and accuse him of being behind the blast. Cole sets out to find the cause of the explosion and an explanation for his strange new powers.
In the game, Cole can choose to be good, evil or something in between. For example, when survivors of the disaster get their hands on some food, Cole can either let the people eat, shoot them or take the food for himself. Depending on the choices he make, the karma gauge will move more towards the Hero rank or the Infamous rank. His level on the gauge directly influences the way people react towards him.IGN: Karma System Hands-On

Prologue
- Watch the blast as it destroys Empire CIty.
- Take control of Cole.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to look up at the helicopter and left at the garage.
- Use the Left Analog Stick to continue forward on the solid path.
- Continue to the two vehicles.
- Jump the gap between them.
- Proceed up the ramp.
- Enter the garage.
- Be careful of vehicles going through the cement.
- Walk over the pipe to cross the gap.
- Continue around the corner.
- Go down the ramp to the ground.
- Head left to the police barricade to trigger a cutscene.
- Cross the long bridge at the end of the cutscene.
- Arrive on Zeke's Roof.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to learn your electrical powers.
- Target the two visible batteries on the roof.
- Hit them each with two of your lightening bolts.
- Head to the back of the roof.
- Go behind the fence near the mannequins.
- Take out the third battery with a lightening bolt.
- Return to Zeke.
- Fire lightening bolts at the mannequins until the plane appears overhead.
- Once it flies past, watch the television until you are prompted to begin your first mission.
Mission 1.1 First Glimpse
- Jump from the roof.
- Follow Zeke through the city.
- Listen to the dialog that explains why you cannot use guns or cars.
- Make your way to the parking lot.
- Use shockwave to move the cars.
- Head to the car furthest to the right behind Zeke.
- Get the gun.
- Walk to the electrical box behind the cars.
- Hold it to recharge.
- Follow Zeke over to Archer Square.
- Climb the flagpoles next to the tower.
- Jump over to the tower.
- Climb the cable.
- Follow the ramp up to the top.
- Shoot the rusty ring holding up the pallet of food with a lightening bolt to knock down the pallet.
- Take down the two waves of Reapers, in red jackets and hoods, with lightening bolts.
- Keep moving as their aim is awful.
- TIP: The red squares on your minimap indicate Reaper location.
- NOTE: Once the Reapers are destroyed, you will have your first moral decision, a Karma Moment.
- Decide whether you want to let the pedestrians keep the food for a 50 good Karma Points, or keep the food for yourself for 50 evil Karma Points.
- TIP: Stand still for a few moments if you want a good karma choice for the "Good Eats" trophy. Choosing evil karma decision will earn you the "Evil Eats" trophy.
- Watch the television broadcast after you make your decision to end the mission.
Mission 1.2 The Escape
- Begin on the south side of the island, one block north of the bridge.
- Proceed to the bridge for a karma moment.
- Attack the police by yourself from either end of the bridge for 50 Good Karma Points.
- If you would rather attain 50 Evil Karma Points, fire at the cops from within the crowd to start a riot.
- Outrun the cops as they chase after you.
- Turn and take them out with a lightning bolt.
- Walk up to the gate.
- Shoot the box on its upper left side to open it.
- Jump on top of the shipping containers above the machine guns.
- Take out the cops.
- Destroy the machine guns.
- Continue over to the next gate.
- Take out the two on top of the containers.
- Climb on top of the containers.
- Continue along the top of the containers until you can jump down behind the machineguns.
- Use the electrical boxes next to the machine guns to recharge or heal.
- Continue to the next area.
- Walk along the left side of the bridge.
- Shock the gunner next to the first machine gun.
- Continue back over to the left side of the bridge.
- Climb over the white container.
- Open the gate to trigger a cutscene.
- Make your way under the bridge.
- Travel under the bridge until you see the red lights.
- Shoot the hooks supporting the red lights.
- Jump on them once they are knocked down.
- Shoot lightning bolts at the two Reapers at the far side of the bridge to take them out.
- Continue to the platform.
- Heal yourself at the electrical box.
- Proceed to the pipe to the left near the blast shard.
- Climb up onto the pipe.
- Walk around the fence.
- TIP: Watch out for the exhaust port shooting brown smoke. The smoke will cause damage.
- Proceed around the corner.
- Pass the exhaust ports.
- Jump up onto the wire.
- Jump up again onto the platform.
- Lower the red light ahead as you did before.
- Jump onto the next pipe.
- Quickly jump onto the red light as it breaks.
- Take out the two Reapers.
- Lower all of the red lights you can see so you can use them when the pipes you jump onto break.
- Stay on the lights as much as possible.
- As you continue across the last section of the bridge, and the pipes you jump to continue to break, continue moving as quickly as you can until you get to dry land to end the mission.
Mission 1.3 Mysterious Signals
- Start from the rooftop on a building to the southwest of Zeke's rooftop.
- Head southeast to the next building per your instructions.
- Climb to the roof of the building.
- Head up the water tower.
- Find the blast shard on the side of the tower.
- Get to the first dead drop at the satellite dish at the top of the water tower.
- Listen to the instructions to find the next dead drop.
- Push down on the left stick to find the location of the next dead drop.
- Jump off the roof to the intersection.
- Head one block south to the next intersection.
- Climb the building to the right.
- Take out the Reaper.
- Use the dead drop.
- Use the wire on the southeast side of the building to cross the intersection and get to the rooftop on the other side.
- Take out the Reapers on the next rooftop.
- Jump over to the rooftop.
- Head to the side of the building.
- Make your way to the fire escape.
- FInd the blast shard.
- Proceed to the last dead drop.
Mission 1.4 Medical Emergency
- Begin on the rooftop between Archer Square and the bridge.
- Find the medic to the south, near the beach.
- Talk to the medic and wait for him to ask you to take out the group of Reapers in the medical clinic down the street.
- Stay away from the Reapers charging with shotguns and shooting at close range.
- Stay at a distance and take them out.
- Take out the Reapers to unlock the clinic.
- NOTE: This secures this part of the city so that the Reapers cannot return.
Mission 1.5 Blood Trail
- Begin on the west side of Archer Square.
- Find an electrician named Brandon.
- Head into the alley to the northwest.
- Look on the other side of the truck trailer.
- Investigate the body.
- Follow the green shadowy figure running in the opposite direction.
- Take out any Reapers along the way.
- NOTE: One of the Reapers is a new kind of Reaper called a Conduit. Conduits can teleport short distances. Take them out from a distance with lightning bolts.
- Make your way to the electric substation.
- Climb the building.
- Shoot down at the large group of Reapers.
- Pass the substation after they are all dead.
- Come upon the Reaper as he detonates an explosive vest that takes out power to part of the city.
- Find the blast shard on the wall above him.
- Follow the echo out to street until you get to the manhole.
- Enter the manhole.
- Continue to the transformer.
- Acquire your new healing ability.
- Heal the man asking for help to open the locked gate.
- Enter the next area.
- Heal any people who need it.
- Finish off any injured Reapers with your Bio Leech ability.
- Proceed to the next group of Reapers.
- Take them out.
- Continue until you meet up with Brandon for another Karma Moment.
- Tell him his wife is dead for 50 Good Karma Points.
- Shoot him for 50 Evil Karma Points.
- Proceed to the last object of the mission.
- Charge it to complete the mission.
Mission 1.6 High Ground
- Head across the street to the cell tower.
- Recharge it.
- Find the cable that leads to the rooftop to the south.
- Make your way to the generator.
- Recharge your energy levels.
- TIP: Stay away from the three red squares on the map that indicate anti-aircraft guns.
- Continue to the south of the park.
- Heal yourself at the generators.
- Run past any enemies you encounter.
- Continue to the far west.
- Enter the manhole cover.
- Activate the conduit for the ability to throw shock grenades.
- Toss a grenade at the base of the barrier in front of you.
- Proceed forward to the electrical equipment.
- Continue past it to the next group of Reapers.
- Shoot the explosive barrels to take them out.
- Continue to the next set of sparking electrical equipment.
- Hide behind it to take out the machine gunners.
- First take out the gunner in front of you with a shock grenade.
- Head to the left of the platform.
- Back up and toss a grenade high at the wall so it ricochets to take out the machine gun operator.
- Repeat this for the one off to the right.
- Take out the suicide Conduits at long range in front of you.
- Watch for the switch.
- Shoot it to end the mission.
Mission 1.7 Mind Games
- Head to the east side of the building.
- Follow the wire to the roof across the street.
- Get to the dead drop location.
- Jump down to the fountain.
- Find Trish.
- Turn the valve next to her.
- Follow Trish after the tar shoots into your eyes, making the camera blurry and the controls sloppy.
- Ignore the giant Reapers.
- Make your way to the ambulance with Trish for her to heal you.
- Head west to the park.
- Find the first water main.
- Take out the Reapers and Conduits.
- Shut it off.
- Make your way to the second valve.
- Take out the Reapers and Conduits.
- Shut it off.
- This dose of tar will wear off quicker than the first.
- Make your way to the third valve.
- Take out the Reapers and Conduits.
- Shut it off for 50 Good Karma Points.
- Hurt the pedestrian to make him do it for 50 Evil Karma Points.
- Proceed east to the tunnel entrance.
- Walk away from the entrance when you become dizzy.
- Once the dizziness wears off, fight your way through the Reapers in the tunnel.
- Shoot the giant Reapers towards the end of the tunnel.
- Take out the Conduit.
- Proceed to the tanker.
- Hit it with shock grenades until it explodes.
- Return to Zeke's rooftop to end the mission.
- Get some rest to recharge your battery.
Mission 1.8 The Good Stuff
- Begin in the northwest corner of Neon Islane.
- Watch out for the armored truck with the machine gun.
- Stay on top of the surrounding buildings and use shock grenades to take out any enemies.
- Make your way to the sewer.
- Enter it.
- Head for the circuit.
- Reconnect it for induction grind ability.
- Continue through the sewer.
- Take out the small groups of Reapers you encounter.
- Proceed to the next grind section.
- Jump from the cable when you see the bar with the yellow light.
- Continue to the end of the sewer.
- Charge the substation to complete the mission.
Mission 1.9 The Rescue
- Head to the start location.
- Make your way to the train.
- Take out the Reapers in the area.
- Move to the head of the train where the cars are piled up.
- Use an electromagnetic shockwave to blow the cars out of the way.
- Stand on the lead car of the train.
- Ride it forward until it stops.
- Jump to the ground.
- Look up under the tracks for the feeder box with blinking lights.
- Fire some lightning bolts at the box.
- Once the lights on the right of the box are lit, get back on the lead train car.
- Continue to ride it forward until it stops.
- Blast the Reapers on the walkway to the right with lightning bolts before you get close.
- Take out the Reaoer on the roof of the station.
- Hop down to the ground.
- Locate the feeder box.
- Recharge it.
- Return to the train.
- Continue to ride it forward.
- Dodge the missile fired by the Reaper on the rooftop to the right.
- Fire back at him and his partner.
- Repeat the process with the two Reapers on the balcony to the left.
- Take out the Conduits who attack at the next stop with lightning bolts.
- Finish off all of the Reapers in the area to secure it.
- Find the feeder box under the lead car.
- Recharge it.
- Return to the train.
- Fire at the explosive cannister between the two Reapers on top of the rooftop to the right to take them out.
- Stay up on a pole or girder to take out the Conduits and Reapers that appear from the alley.
- Fire at them from a distance until they are finished off.
- Recharge the feeder box.
- Ride the train to the next stop.
- Toss a shock grenade ahead once you see the blockade of cars on the track.
- Send several lightning bolts ahead to blow up the cars and kill all the enemies.
- Stay on top of the train car.
- Don't forget to draw more energy from a nearby source.
- Use Electromagnetic Shockwaves to clear any remaining vehicles ahead on the tracks.
- Recharge the feeder box under the tracks.
- Return to the train.
- Ride it forward.
- Shoot bolts at the Reapers on the rooftops to the left and right, aiming for the explosive cannister.
- The mission ends when the train reaches the station.
Mission 1.10 Nemesis Revealed
- Climb the nearest building to the start location.
- Take out the Reapers who attack from the building to the east.
- Head to the rooftop of that building.
- Use lightrning bolts on the control panel on the back of the keg on top of the water tower to overcharge it.
- The keg's destruction will cause a lot of people to get sick.
- Take out the Conduit.
- Head to the building to the southwest.
- Toss a grenade at the crane on there to lower the rope.
- Use the rope to jump directly to the tower.
- Destroy the keg with shockwave at close range for 12 good Karma Points.
- Force the pump to implode by overcharging it for 12 evil Karma Points.
- Head east to the next tower.
- Repeat the process for 12 more Karma Points.
- Head west to the next tower.
- Repeat the process for 12 more Karma Points.
- Head southeast via the train tracks to the last tower.
- Make your way to teh south side of the building.
- Climb up behind the machine gun.
- There's a blast shard on top of the last tower.
- Take out the keg for 12 Karma Points to trigger a cutscene and end the mission.
- Return to Zeke.
Mission 1.11 No Protection
- Begin on the southwest side of the island.
- Watch for the machine gun to the south. You are in its line of fire.
- Approach from the east to stay out of sight.
- Destroy the machine gun.
- Enter the sewer.
- Proceed straight ahead.
- Make your way to the chargeable electric box.
- Jump on to it.
- Continue moving forward.
- Reestablish the circuit for Precision power.
- Use your new power to charge the panel opposite from the spinning fan.
- Head across the jumping section.
- Continue to the long platform.
- Take out the suicide bombers.
- Continue along the platform.
- Use your Precision power to take out the machine gun to the left.
- Proceed through the platforming sections until you reach the Reapers at the wide pit.
- Use Precision to take them out.
- Look down to the left to find the last box you need to recharge.
- TIP: It is located behind the spinning fan.
- Use Precision to charge the box.
- Ride the two arms to the right.
- Jump over the pillars and pipes until you reach the substation.
- Charge the substation to end the mission.
- Continue through the sewer.
- Exit the sewer to begin the next mission.
Mission 1.12 Trish Reaches Out
- NOTE: Protect the medical supply crate from the Reapers. The mission ends if you allow the crate to take too much damage.
- Head up to the rooftop northeast of the crate to stay out of range of the Reapers carrying shotguns.
- TIP: The minimap will help you to keep track of Reaper locations.
- Take out all the Reapers you can from the vantage point on top of the roof.
- Stand near the edge of the chainlink fence.
- Take out any Reapers standing behind it.
- Wait for the second wave of Reapers to come in from the west and take them out.
- Take out the suicide-Conduits as they head for the medical crate.
- Once the Conduits appear, ignore the Reapers bearing riot shields and focus on taking out the Conduits.
- Watch for the Reaper with a minigun to appear on one of the nearby rooftops.
- Take him out with lightning bolts.
- Take cover in the middle of the area.
- Shoot the Reapers coming in from the south and northwest as they enter the fenced area surrounding the medical crate.
- TIP: If you phone rings during the fight, ignore it. It's just a distraction.
- Run up next to the trucks.
- Take out the Reapers operating the trucks.
- Kill the Reapers on foor to the west.
- Wait in the passage for the turret truck to drive by.
- Take out the gunner.
- Finish off the last of the Reapers to end the mission.
Mission 1.13 Dinner with Sasha
- Look to the left of the fortress directly in front of you.
- Approach the gate.
- Watch for the suicide bomber inside the gate.
- Overload the electric box to open the gate.
- Go through the gate.
- Enter the alley.
- Keep to the right side.
- Grab the blast shard behind the shipping container.
- Continue to the end of the alley.
- Climb the wall to the right.
- Take out the gunner in the northwest tower to your left.
- Take cover behind the containers.
- Finish off the two machine guns and the enemies in the southwest towers with your Precision skill to clear the area.
- Climb the southwest tower.
- Access the second tower.
- Use the lever to open the gate.
- Take out the first group of Reapers that enter the street.
- Make your way to the front of the gate.
- Heal the pedestrians in front of it.
- Fully charge up.
- Enter the tunnel.
- Take out the Reapers, suicide bomber and machine gun.
- Open the gate with Shockwave.
- Pass the gate.
- Free the people in the cages by hitting the cage padlocks with your lightning bolt.
- TIP: Each person freed is worth some XP.
- Jump into the large pit to meet up with Sasha.
Mission 1.13 Dinner with Sasha Boss Fight
- TIP: Standing in the shallow water will cause damage, so avoid the water whenever possible.
- Stand on the objects sticking up out of the water.
- Proceed through the gate to trigger a quicktime event.
- Press the button as fast as you can.
- Move the blue circle with the left analog stick to align with the white circle.
- Take out any giant Reapers that appear through the battle with lightning bolts.
- Be prepared for Sasha to use tactics similar to a Conduit Reaper's electrical attacks. Sasha also has the ability to disappear and teleport.
- Keep at Sasha until she kneels on the ground.
- Approach her to trigger two more quicktime events and stage 2 of the battle.
- TIP: Sasha gains the ability to summon a tentacle that shoots fireballs in round two. Dodge the fireballs with jumps and other moves.
- Shoot the tentacle to destroy it as soon as you can.
- Keep at Sasha until she kneels a second time to trigger a final quicktime event.
- The mission ending cutscene plays immediately after the quicktime event.
Mission 2.1 Stranded
- NOTE: Empire City's worst part of town has always been Warren. Since the blast it has been controlled by the Dust Men, a much tougher enemy than the Reapers. Dust Men can take more damage than Reapers, and can get up after you think they have been taken down.
- Proceed to the sewer entrance.
- Try to avoid combat in this part of the city.
- Keep to the rooftops as much as possible.
- Locate the sewer entrance to the north, under the railroad tracks.
- Continue forward.
- Reestablish the circuit to achieve Static Thrust ability.
- NOTE: Press R1 while in the air to use Static Thrust ability to extend jumps.
- Proceed forward to the pipe hanging from the ceiling.
- Look to the left.
- Fly to the door.
- Take out the barrier with a shock grenade.
- Take out the Dust Men on the other side of the barrier.
- Recharge at the electrical box near the gate.
- TIP: Watch out for Dust Men hiding in the water.
- Proceed to the pit.
- Use shock grenades to take out the Dust Men at the bottom.
- Time your jump to the moving arm past the pit so you land on it when it is closest to you.
- Jump to the pillar.
- Climb to the top of the pillar.
- Get to the bottom of the next pillar.
- Climb to the top of it until you reach solid ground.
- Jump from one moving arm to the next.
- Make your way to the exit to the sewers.
- At the exit you are given your choice of two missions: Zeke's Request or An Old Friend.

- Make sure you are fully charged before heading to the mission start point.
- Use your Precision ability to take out both of the enemies.
- You must now escort Roger from the small park to the bridge.
- Recharge along the way.
- Walk over to the river.
- Follow the street next to the river south.
- Turn left once you reach the ocean.
- Continue straight ahead to the bridge.
- Fight off the Dust Men coming in from the east while Roger fixes the bridge.
- Once the first wave is taken out, a second wave of suicide bombers comes in from the west, followed by more Dust Men.
- Cross the bridge.
- Head south to Memorial Park.
- Make sure you are fully charged before you get there.
- Head to the gazebo northwest of where Lou the engineer is being held.
- Take out the Reapers with your Precision ability from the gazebo.
- Talk to Lou before he follows you back to the bridge.
- Defend Lou against the first wave of Reapers that appear on the train tracks above.
- Once they are taken out, more small waves of Reapers will come in from all directions.
- After Lou's area calms down, head back to the north side of the bridge to help Roger.
- Take out the few enemies there.
- Cross back to the other side of the bridge to help Lou with one last small group of enemies.
- Lou then asks you to charge out the control panel.
- When you are finished, return to the other side of the bridge to charge the other control panel to finish the mission.
Mission 2.3 Zeke's Request
- Begin the mission with Zeke asking you to locate an old friend.
- At the mission start point you will find the friend's body.
- Zeke then asks you to locate his killer.
- Walk over to the body.
- Determine how the man was killed.
- Look around to see a green echo figure running away.
- Follow the figure until you come across a Karma Moment.
- Answer the question "do you want people to love or fear you" for good or evil karma points, and a Good Exposure or Bad Exposure trophy depending on your answer.
- Continue until you meet some new crab-like enemies.
- Take them out with lightning bolts.
- When they run away and turn the corner, do not follow them to avoid a machine gun ambush.
- Wait until they return to take them out.
- Once the area is cleared of the crab creatures, take out the machine gun.
- Continue to follow the echo.
- Ignore the phone call from Zeke to avoid an attack.
- Take out the Dust Men with the rocket launcher.
- Follow the echo as it travels southeast.
- Take out the suicide bombers located about halfway down the block.
- Enter the alley.
- Take out another group of crab creatures.
- Arrive at the prison.
- Meet up with the Dust Man mini-boss carrying the rocket launcher.
- Duck into the nearby alley to avoid getting hit.
- Climb one of the buildings.
- Use your Precision ability to take him out from a distance with several headshots.
- Clear the street of the remaining crab creatures.
- Return to Zeke's rooftop.
Mission 2.4 Playing Hero
- Be fully charged before heading out.
- Enter the sewer and get the Megawatt Hammer ability that functions similar to a rocket launcher.
- Fight your way through the sewer.
- Use your new ability by aiming with R1 and pressing triangle to take out the Dust Men behind the chain link fences.
- Continue to the tunnel with sandbags at the end.
- Take out the Dust Man at the far side of the room by the sandbags with your Precision ability.
- Continue past him after he is defeated.
- Take out the remaining Dust Men.
- Exit the sewer.

- Head to the southwest side of Neon.
- FInd the giant complex of shipping containers.
- Start the mission.
- Enter the complex near the corner.
- Take out all of the Dust Men in the first area.
- Continue proceeding through this section.
- Do not touch the brown steam coming out of the pipes or you will die.
- TUrn the valve to the right to make steam shoot from the higher set of pipes.
- Walk to the end of the hall.
- Locate the valve.
- Turn it to have steam emit from the lower pipes.
- Do not move or the steam will kill you.
- Jump onto the valve.
- Look up at the wire.
- Jump towards the yellow ladder.
- Use Static Thrust to reach the wire.
- Walk on it to the end of the hall.
- Take out the Dust Man throwing grenades at you.
- Turn the corner.
- Do not approach the injured pedestrians or you will take fire from the Dust Man behind you.
- Back up and enter the center room.
- Retreat as the Dust Men charge so you don't fight them in that room. (It is covered by a machine gun and rocket launcher).
- Enter the next hall as the fences close in on both sides.
- Climb the ladder as the enemies begin shooting through the fences.
- You are not able to shoot through the fences here, so climb the ladder.
- Jump and use Static Glide to scale the fence into the hallway.
- Fight the Dust Men in the hallway.
- Continue to the ramp at the end of the hallway.
- Dodge the barrels that are rolled down the ramp at you.
- Take out the machine gun at the top of the ramp from the bottom with your Megawatt Hammer ability.
- Once the machine gun is out, head up the ramp.
- Take out any enemies you encounter along the way.
- Exit to end the mission.
- Watch out for sniper fire from the cranes as you continue southeast on the street to the start point for your next mission.
Mission 2.6 Spy Drones
- Proceed to the center of the island.
- Open your map.
- Find the blue dots.
- Head to that area on the map.
- Climb to the top of the tallest building.
- Look around to spot the aircraft.
- Watch them fly in circles that last about a minute to figure out their pattern.
- Shoot the drone several times with Precision ability as it approaches to make recovery of the wreckage easier.
- Jump from the building with Static Glide towards the wreckage once it crashes.
- Get to the wreckage.
- Inspect it and recover the required information before it self destructs.
- Repeat this process until Moya asks you to use the satellite transmitter on the roof of a building.
- Go to the top of the building.
- Use the transmitter to end the mission.
Mission 2.7 Standard Protocol
- Head south of your start location to the first boat.
- Climb the front of the building.
- Take out the machine guns on each side of the building from above and behind them.
- Take out the enemies on the pier.
- Walk over to the boat.
- Climb onto it and head to the rear.
- Destroy the engine in the open box on the back deck with a lightning bolt.
- Blast the locks on the hostage cages to free them.
- Head west to the second boat.
- Take out the enemies on the pier and the boat.
- Destroy the engine and free the hostages as you did on the first boat.
- Head north on the train tracks to the third boat on the northern shore.
- Stop before you reach the pier.
- Take out the crab thrower in the building on the pier from a distance.
- Grind up to the building on the tracks.
- Jump down to the street in front of the building.
- Take out the two machine guns on top of the building from the tracks.
- Approach the pier from along the building.
- Take out the enemies that appear from around the corner.
- Do not jump the walls of fire.
- Go down to the end of the building.
- Climb up on to the roof.
- Head to the last boat on the west side of the island.
- Take out the Dust Men in front of the building.
- When the coast is clear, head over to the boat.
- Destroy the engine and free the hostages to end the mission.
Mission 2.8 Anything for Trish
- NOTE: You must protect the bus you are riding from being destroyed as it moves through the city.
- Destroy the wooden fence around the top of the bus.
- TIP: You have unlimited energy and healing in this mission, so just shoot at anything that moves with your Megawatt Hammer.
- TIP: Take out enemies that chase the bus quickly before they have a chance to damage the slow-moving bus.
- Get to the hospital to trigger a cutscene.
- Look to your right after the cutscene.
- Run behind the building to the west of the hospital.
- Climb up to the roof.
- Take out all of the enemies that you can.
- Move to opposite the rear of the hospital.
- Climb up to the roof.
- Use Precision to take out the machine gun between the two towers.
- Take out all of the enemies in view.
- Use the cable to move north to the building across the street.
- Jump one more building to the north so that you are next to the hospital.
- Pick off all of the enemies on the ground.
- Take out the machine gun to the west of the hospital.
- Use the cable to get to the north side of the hospital.
- Get to the center building.
- Climb up the side of the east tower.
- Once at the top, climb the front of the hospital.
- Use Precision to take out one of the Dust Men holding Trish hostage.
- Take out the other Dust Man to complete the mission.
Mission 2.9 The Arrest
- Head to the blue spot on the map to find the dead policeman.
- Follow Alden's echo to the area where the pedestrian was hung from light pole.
- Shoot a lightning bolt at the rope to free him for 50 Good Karma Points or walk away to leave him to his troubles for 50 Evil Karma Points.
- Keep moving through the Junk Maze.
- Continue following the echo.
- Kill any Dust Men you encounter.
- Take cover when necessary.
- Keep an eye on the minimap for Dust Men locations.
- Contine to the other side of the maze to the open area.
- Keep your distance from the Trash Golem.
- Be ready to repel them with a Shockwave at any moment.
- Roll immediately right or left if you see a machine gun attack coming.
- Take out the Golem with lightning bolts and rockets.
- Head back down the hill.
- Take cover behind a trash pile.
- Take each of the Golem out.
- TIP: Attack their arms first to limit their attack ability.
- Once the Golem are dead, the mission ends.
Mission 2.10 Terrorized Streets
- Find the location of the four armored buses riding around Warren.
- Cross over rooftops to get to each of the buses.
- When you get to a spot on a roof above a bus, glide down and land on top of it.
- Head over to the battery control panel at the back of the bus.
- Pump the control panel with lightning bolts until the battery is overloaded.
- Repeat this process for each of the four buses.

- Go through the prison gates.
- Turn left.
- Scale the walls.
- Drop into the yard.
- Make your way to the blue market on the map to trigger a cutscene.
- Stand on the charge grid above.
- Get ready to use Shockwave power to reflect the flaming rocks being hurled at you by Golems.
- Wait for the group of Dust Men to appear.
- Use your rockets against them.
- Recharge as often as you can.
- When the grid loses power, drop to the yard and find cover.
- Keep killing the Dust Men until a Trash Golem enters the yard.
- Get on the roof of the small building to the left.
- Go after the Golem's arms first, as you did before, and him.
- Talk to Zeke after he is dead. Zeke tells you that now you must restore the power.
- Head to the blue marker on your map.
- Climb the pipes and ledges to the top.
- Kill the Dust Men on the roof.
- Make your way to the catwalk.
- Follow it to the broken section.
- Turn left.
- Climb up the ledge.
- Glide to the next walkway.
- Follow it to the broken sections of the building.
- Cross the beams and broken sections of wall to some poles.
- Climb the second pole to the ledge.
- Head back in the direction you came.
- Climb the wall.
- Kill the Dust Man.
- Recharge the nearby panel.
- Head to the right.
- Climb the beams to the roof.
- Return to the map's blue marker in the yard.
- Toss some grenades at the Dust Men.
- Wait for the Golem.
- Head left to the raised electrical platform.
- Get on the grid.
- Throw grenades and rockets at the Golem.
- Reflect its projectiles with Shockwave.
- Once the first Golem drops, two more will enter.
- Stay on the grid until a Golem gets too close.
- Take cover at the opposite end of the yard.
- Keep wearing them down this way as you attack from a distance.
- When both Golem are dead, approach Zeke to trigger a cutscene and end the mission.
Mission 2.12 Light in the Tunnel
- Use Static Thrusters to glide across the walkways and pipes in the sewers until you reach the circuit.
- Get it back up and running to earn the Polarity Wall ability.
- NOTE: This creates a shield to block attacks.
- Continue forward until you see a turret gunner behind a fence.
- Hide behind the pipe.
- Fire bolts at the Dust Men.
- When all that remains is the turret gunner, put up your shields and jump from your cover.
- Glide over the gap while keeping your shield up.
- Get behind the gunner and kill him.
- Continue to the steam arm.
- Jump onto it.
- Throw up your Polarity Wall shield.
- Ride the steam arm until you reach the back of the area.
- Jump to the pipes.
- Trigger your shield again.
- Wait until the arm moves you to a second arm to the right.
- Glide to it with your shield up.
- Ride this arm with your shield up until you can glide to the platform with the transformers.
- Take cover behind the transformers.
- Keep your shield up.
- Glide across the catwalks to get behind the turret gunner and kill him.
- Proceed forward until you can see some Dust Men in the distance.
- Take them out before stepping onto the catwalk.
- Keep jumping from section to section as pieces give way.
- Take out all the Dust Men that approach.
- Keep moving until you get to the substation.
- Charge it to end the mission.
Mission 2.13 Secrets Revealed
- NOTE: Gollow the chopper as it travels north through the Warren. Don't let it get too far ahead or you will fail the mission.
- Grind on the power lines between buildings to keep up.
- Get to John's location to trigger a cutscene.
- Immediately after the cutscene you will have a Karma Moment.
- Attack the Golem for 50 Good Karma Points. Shoot the gas tank for 50 Evil Karma Points.
- Be sure to attack the right arm (the one without the tank) if you are striving for good karma.
- Dodge the gas tank when it is thrown at you.
- Keep going after the right arm with lightning bolts and rockets.
- Finish off the Golem with body attacks.
Mission 2.14 The Ray Sphere

- Head up the pipes to the first tier.
- Press Triangle to see the Point of Interest, a turbine for the elevator.
- Use Shockwave on the turbine.
- Do not fall or you will fail the mission.
- Zeke will then ride up the elevator to your position.
- Kill the Dust Men.
- Head around the tower to the other elevator.
- When Zeke gets on the elevator, climb the signs on the building to the right of the elevator.
- Make your way to the bus on the right.
- Glide left.
- Jump across the beams to reach the next tier.
- Kill the Dust Men.
- Switch on the elevator to bring Zeke up.
- Kill the Dust Men.
- Climb the beams and signs on the wall to reach a metal platform.
- Glide to the beam on the left.
- Jump and glide to the next beam to the left.
- Proceed over the remaining beams to reach the signs on the building again.
- Vlimb those to the next tier.
- Once the Dust Men here are dead, bring Zeke up in the elevator.
- Head past the elevator.
- Climb up the sign.
- Glide to the beam.
- Glide to two more beams.
- Glide to the right of the third, wider beam.
- Grab the thin side of the beam.
- Climb up.
- Bring Zeke up in the lift to trigger a cutscene.
- Take out the Dust Men one at a time.
- Use Shockwaves to knock them over the side of the tower.
- Use Shockwaves to take out the RPG Conduits.
- Use Megawatt Hammers to take out the arms of the Golem and cripple his attacks.
- Finish off the Golem to end the mission.
Mission 2.15 Alden's Rampage
- Continue over the bridge until you reach the gap you cannot jump across.
- Climb onto a support to the right.
- Head to the top.
- Climb over the supports.
- Kill the Dust Men from a distance.
- Continue to the next gap.
- Glide across.
- Trigger your shield to avoid fire from the turrets.
- Continue toward them and take out the gunners.
- Proceed across the support beams.
- Keep killing Dust Men as you go.
- Continue to the next gap.
- Glide across and be ready for the boss fight that begins when you land on the other side.
Boss: Alden
NOTE: YOu will need to make Alden open his mouth three times so you can attack his mouth. The easiest way to do this is by taking off the weakest armor on either arm. Once you pick an arm, focus on attacking it.
Phase 1
- Learn to recognize Alden's Junk Ball attacks.
- Reflect them with Shockwaves into the hole in the bridge.
- Throw Megawatt Hammers at one of the monster's arms as its arm lowers after tossing a Junk Ball at you.
- Keep attacking a spot on the arm until you stop seeing junk fly off it.
- Switch to a different spot.
- If you need to recharge, use one of the four lights in the corners to do so.
- Once you've damaged the arm enough, the monster will fall down and expose Alden by opening its mouth.
- Throw some Lightning Bolts or Megawatt Hammers at Alden until the trash monster unleashes some Swarmers.
- Use Shockwave to take out the two waves before the monster gets back up again.
Phase 2
- Alden will now fire his machine gun out of the monster's eye.
- Do not let the attack hit you, or your health will take a serious dip.
- Use the Polarity Wall when you see the attack coming (when the monster puts both hands on the ground).
- If you purchased the first upgrade for the Polarity Wall, the machine gun attack will restore your energy as it hits the wall.
- Keep throwing Megawatt Hammers at the monster between attacks until Alden is exposed again.
- Attack.
- The monster will summon many more Swarmers to attack you after you've damaged Alden.
- Retreat and use Shockwave to deal with them.
Phase 3
- The trash monster will add a third attack to its repertoire now, a Fire Spit attack where it leans back, charges up, and spits balls of flame.
- Be ready with your Shockwave to reflect the first ball of flame, causing it to destroy the flames following it.
- If any flames hit the ground, avoid stepping in them or you'll take damage.
- Between attacks, toss your Megawatt Hammers at one of the monster's arms until Alden is exposed for the third time.
- Attack him to end the battle.
Mission 3.1 The Price
- NOTE: This mission begins your journey through the Historic District.
- Be careful on the roofs of the buildings, as there's a proximity mine on each one.
- If you hear one beeping, quickly get out of the way or destroy it with a lightning bolt.
- You must repair the bridge to Neon.
- Check your map to find its location marked in blue, and head there.
- There's a control panel on the right side of the bridge, so charge it to restore power to the bridge.
- Kessler will call you now, and afterward you'll have to fight a First Son Giant Conduit.
- There's a First Son inside the chest controlling it, so fire your lightning bolts at him until the Giant is dead.
- Shots to the arms, legs or head do not harm it.
- Kessler then informs you that he has hidden four bombs around the city.
- Use your map to locate the first bomb.
- Many First Sons will attack you here, so throw up your Shield and run toward the bomb, and hold to drain it.
- Kill off all the First Sons in the area, including the Giant.
- Head to the next bomb and repeat the process you performed for the first bomb.
- This second bomb is guarded by a machinegun, so if you can, approach from the northwest.
- Kill any First Sons here, then proceed to the third bomb.
- Drain it, then lure the First Sons out of the park to avoid being surrounded.
- When they're all dead, go to the fourth bomb, where a Karma Moment will begin in which you must choose to save Trish for 50 Evil Karma Points or six doctors for 50 Good Karma Points.
- Both Trish and the doctors are indicated on the map as blue dots.
- The doctors are the dot to the southwest, and Trish is farther northeast.
- As it happens, Trish is dead no matter what at this point.
- After you've climbed the tower, watch the cutscene ending the mission.
Mission 3.2 Vengeance
Mission 3.2 Vengeance
- Return to the sewers.
- Follow the path forward and get ready to kill some First Sons.
- Soon you'll reach a broken circuit; charge it and you'll learn a new power, Lightning Storm, that you cannot use in the sewers.
- Ahead you'll face more First Sons.
- Blast them from rockets at a safe distance, then go left.
- Use your Static Thrusts to jump the wider gaps, and be wary when crossing the catwalks, as many of them will give way under if you're on them very long.
- When you reach the sewer exit and are above ground once again, use your new Lightning Storm power on the approaching turret semi.
- Two more trucks will appear after you destroy the first one, so take them out the same way.
- You must now charge three substations.
- Head to the first substation, which is marked on your map, and charge the panel on the side of the building.
- As the substation slowly charges toward the 100% mark, fight off the waves of First Sons.
- On top of the station is an electric plate that gives you unlimited power.
- Since you can drain as much power as you need from the substation, just use Lightning Storm after Lightning Storm to deal with the First Sons.
- At the next substation, charge the side panel, then climb on top of the building.
- Use Lightning Storm to kill the approaching enemies.
- When you've reached the 100% mark here, move on to the final substation.
- Charge the panel, kill the enemies with Lightning Storm, and stay put until the station is fully charged to end the mission.
Mission 3.3 Against the World
- Balloons are releasing poison over Empire City.
- There are four toxic balloons in total, and if you get beneath them you'll be affected by the poison, so just move across the rooftops.
- Follow the blue mark on your map to the first balloon.
- A UAV protects the balloon and will launch missiles at you as soon as you're within range.
- Use your Precision power, then blast the UAV with a Lightning Storm.
- Now get close to the poison balloon and blast it with Lightning Storm.
- This will lower its shield for 60 seconds.
- Now quickly jump onto the balloon, but do not shoot it while the shield is down, or you will die.
- Get on the walkway at the base of the balloon.
- Walk around until a prompt appears.
- Hit the button to release the latch.
- Do the same with the other two latches on the balloon.
- Once you've hit all three latches, you'll release the balloon into the air.
- You'll find the next balloon in the Warren, across the bridge.
- Take out its UAV as with the first balloon.
- Hit it with Lightning Storm to lower its shield.
- Hit its three release latches to send it away.
- The final two balloons are in Neon.
- In addition to their UAVs, they have three machine guns attached behind their shields.
- Take out the balloon's UAV first.
- Get close and hit the balloon once with Lightning Storm.
- Aim carefully at the machine guns.
- Blast them with lightning bolts.
- After you've destroyed the guns, get on the balloon and hit the release latches.
- The last balloon also has a Reaper Conduit guarding it.
- Kill him.
- Take out the balloon as you did the previous one to end the mission.
Mission 3.4 Hunt for the Ray Sphere

- Jump onto the electrified platform hanging under the helicopter.
- Tide it to the first of three invisible jammers you must destroy.
- During this mission, you cannot get off the platform until John says so or you will fail the mission.
- You also cannot let the helicopter be destroyed, so keep an eye on its health gauge on the right side of the screen.
- As you approach the first jammer, watch the minimap to know when First Sons are approaching.
- Reflect the missiles they fire at you before they can damage the chopper.
- Continue killing First Sons until you reach the first jammer.
- Get off the platform and follow the blue mark on your map to it.
- Stay on the rooftops to avoid the enemies on the ground.
- Kill the Drones and Invisible Conduits around the jammer.
- Continue following the blue mark on your map until you're near the jammer.
- It's invisible, but it distorts the air around it like heat waves, so you should be able to see it when you're close enough.
- Hit it with a Lightning Storm to destroy it.
- More First Sons will attack you en route to the second jammer.
- Make use of your Precision skill to guide your fired rockets at them.
- You can always drain more energy from the platform.
- Get off the platform when instructed.
- Cross the rooftops to the jammer.
- Kill any nearby enemies.
- Destroy the jammer with Lightning Storm.
- Watch out for the first Son Giant Conduits on your way to the final jammer.
- Launch rockets at them.
- Use Precision to guide them into the human controlling the Giant.
- Eventually you'll reach the top level of a parking structure.
- Move slowly down each level, ridding them of all enemies until you reach the 3rd level.
- Head to the east side of this level to find the jammer.
- Nail it with a Lightning Storm to end the mission.
Mission 3.5 End of the Road
- Begin in the Warren.
- John needs you to take out three anti-aircraft guns so he can drop a gas bomb on the First Sons' building.
- Head to the closest of the three AA guns marked on your map.
- Each gun has enemies like Drones surrounding it, so try to kill them from a safe distance.
- Once the coast is clear, get as close to the AA gun as you can to hit it with Lightning Storm.
- After you've destroyed the three guns, head to the location marked on your map.
- Climb onto the roof to trigger a cutscene.
- Follow the helicopter with the Ray Sphere.
- Do not lose sight of it, or you'll fail the mission and have to start over.
- Follow it to the Historic District by grinding across power lines and leaping from rooftop to rooftop.
- Once you reach the Historic District, grind along the tracks to follow the helicopter.
- When the truck with the Ray Sphere goes right at the south part of the track, jump across the roofs of the buildings to the right and grind over the power lines after the helicopter until you reach the pier for a cutscene.
- When you regain control, get on the first container and fire a lightning bolt at one of the mines on the ground ahead.
- This should set off all the other mines around it.
- Move forward slowly.
- Take cover behind the containers as you take down the approaching enemies.
- TIP: Go after the Drones first.
- As soon as you reach the Ray Sphere you will have a Karma Moment.
- Destroy the Sphere for 50 Good Karma Points or activate it for 50 Evil Karma Points.
- NOTE: If you choose to activate the Sphere, you will gain more power and receive four battery cores even if you have achieved the maximum of 24. You will also be evil for the remainder of the game no matter what else you do, as far as the available powers. Your choice here does not affect the game's ending.
- Once you make your choice, watch the mission-ending cutscene.
- TIP: There is one final story mission left. If you have any remaining side missions you wish to complete, you need to finish those up before starting the final mission.
Mission 3.6 The Truth
Head to the last Story Mission marker on your map to face the final boss fight challenge in the game: Kessler.

NOTE: If you need to recharge during this battle, you can do so with any of the broken lampposts in the vicinity.
Phase 1
- TIP: The best time to strike at Kessler is after he's fired his railgun beam at you four times.
- Use your Polarity Wall to block a beam, toss a Shock Grenade at him.
- Throw up your Polarity Wall again.
- After the fourth shot he'll drop to the ground and be wide open to attack.
- Pump him full of missiles and Megawatt Hammers.
- If you get hit by any of his beams he'll most likely toss some mines your way.
- Use Shockwave to send them back his direction.
- After his resting period after the four railgun beams, Kessler typically uses his TK Blast attack, where he dashes toward you.
- Wait until he's about to make his final dash toward you.
- Toll diagonally toward him so that you can avoid the TK Blast at the end of his dash.
- He'll then immediately do a Ground Slam attack, where a shockwave radiates from him out to the edges of the area.
- Static Hover toward Kessler as the shockwave passes beneath you.
- Keep this up until you've knocked off a third of his health and a cutscene plays where Zeke saves your life.
Phase 2
- This phase is much like the first, except that Kessler will now start summoning Minions when he performs his Ground Slam attack.
- If your alignment is Good, use Lightning Bolts to kill them, but if your alignment is Evil, use Arc Lightning after you land from gliding over the Ground Slam shockwave.
- Also, Kessler will only fire three beams from his railgun before he falls to the ground.
- Keep attacking until you've knocked off another third of his health and a second cutscene plays.
Phase 3
- In the final phase, Kessler will summon three First Son Grenade Drones, and you'll want to kill them quickly.
- Use Lightning Bolts if you're Good or Arc Lightning if you're Evil.
- Once they're dead, go on the assault on Kessler, avoiding his attacks and hammering him whenever there's an opening.
- Keep at it until he's out of health, at which point he'll grab you in a grapple sequence.
- Like the sequence with Sasha earlier in the game, you must hammer on the button while rotating the Left Analog Stick to align the two circles.
- Once the circles are aligned, the final cutscene will be triggered and you will witness Kessler's demise to end the game.
- After the closing credits, you can return to Empire City to complete any Side Missions, Blast Shards, or Dead Drops you may have missed.
