A phenomenon known as Indigo Children has emerged in the New Age movement. The term refers to people who are believed to have indigo-colored auras, and possess exceptional characteristics, either paranormal or otherwise.
Origins
The term Indigo Children originates with psychic Nancy Anne Tappe, in her 1982 book Understanding Your Life Through Color.
