The Indiana State Fair is held every year at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. The fairgrounds comprise 250 acres and 17 buildings. Annually, the fair features over 300 different events.http://www.in.gov/statefair/fairgrounds/index.html
In 1852, the first Indiana State Fair was held in downtown Indianapolis. After moving location a few times, the fair permanently moved to the State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis in 1892. Adults were admitted to the Indiana State Fair for $8. The garbage burger consists of a butterfly pork chop topped with barbecued pulled pork, served on a bun. This burger was the winner of the 2010 Signature Food Contest at the fair.
