  In September of 2007, an extra working on the film named Tyler Nelson broke his nondisclosure agreement and leaked some plot details to his hometown newspaper, The Edmond Sun. Steven Spielberg, who was furious when he discovered Nelson leaking plot information, cut his scene from the movie and took Nelson to court.

  There was another leak in October of 2007, when some photos and production documents were stolen. The LA Sheriff's department caught the perpetrator in a sting operation and arrested the man, Roderick Eric Davis, on the spot.
