To register to vote in Indiana you must be at least 18 years old, as well as citizen of both the United States and Indiana and not currently serving a term in prison. Indiana Public Law 109-2005 requires voters to present of photo ID that has been issued by the government before being allowed to vote. The voter’s registration record must conform to the photo ID being presented. This does not mean that the two documents have to represent the voters name in an identical manner but the last name must obviously be the same and then the remainder could be any combination of names and initials, ex. The short notice gave no one the opportunity to file before the deadline so the Democratic Party's executive committee will select a nominee to run.
