Each year, babies are tossed off the top of the Baba Umer Durga, a Muslim shine in the village of Sholapur, India. The babies are tossed in a religious ritual that dates back hundreds of years. Parents allow their babies to be thrown off the roof onto bed sheets held by others in hope of attracting health and prosperity for their children.
