Plot
On July 2, the government detects giant objects headed for the Earth. Initially thought to be meteors, it is verified that the objects are actually alien spacecraft. Attempts at communication fail, and the aliens soon prove hostile when they destroy major cities around the world. Although Earth's defenses are no match for superior alien technology, a band of survivors led by American President Thomas J.
