In The Mouth Of Madness is a 1995 horror film directed by John Carpenter. The film is the third movie in Carpenter's "Apocalypse Trilogy". Prior movies in the trilogy include The Thing and Prince of Darkness. Originally scheduled for a 1994 release, the film did not debut until the following year to a mixed reception.
Plot Summary
Following the disappearance of famed horror writer Sutter Cane, insurance investigator John Trent (Sam Neill) is hired by Cane's publisher to search for clues to Cane's whereabouts. Traveling with Cane's editor, Linda Styles (Julie Carmen), Trent discovers that Cane's fictional books have a power that goes beyond the page.
