  • Plot Synopsis

    The story takes place in Maine. Frank Fowler (Nick Stahl) is in love with an older woman and mother of two, Natalie Strout (Marisa Tomei). He was killed by Natalie's ex husband Richard Strout (William Mapother). Frank's parents, Dr. Matt Fowler (Tom Wilkinson) and Ruth Fowler (Sissy Spacek), become angry upon realizing that there is no clear evidence against Richard and he may go unpunished for murdering their son The Fowlers, overwhelmed with grief, accuse each other of being responsible for the tragedy.
