In Cold Blood is a 1967 crime drama film directed by Richard Brooks.

In Cold Blood is a film adaptation of Truman Capote's novel of the same name.

Based on the actual events in Holcomb, Kansas in 1959, the film follows Perry Smith (Robert Blake) and Dick Hickock (Scott Wilson), who in a failed robbery attempt, kill the entire Clutter family in their home.

The two men are eventually arrested and found guilty after a long trial. At the end of the film, both are hanged for their wrongdoing.

In Cold Blood was released to mostly positive reviews in 1967, with most critics praising the characterizations of the two murderers and Conrad Hall's noir-like cinematography.

The film currently has an 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
