As additional information for the final boss becomes available, this page will be updated. Ikaruga is a 2D vertically scrolling shooter with 18 stages that challenge your reflexes and problem-solving abilities with its focus on fast-paced action. Your enemies come in two colors symbolizing one of two polarities: white or black. You will be able to absorb their bullets if your ship matches their color. The are five missions (called "Chapters") in the game, for a total of five bosses, each with its own attack patterns and strategies. The final boss may be found in Chapter 5: Ubusunagami Okinokai. He resembles a spinning wheel that shoots alternating polarity bullets at you. Because he follows a relatively similar routine during the battle, one of the best strategies for defeating this boss in Ikaruga is to practice in the training mode.
