This page is a resource center of FAQs, game guides and walkthroughs to help you understand the concept of chains in the video game Ikaruga for the Xbox 360. As additional information for chains becomes available, this page will be updated. Ikaruga is a 2D vertically scrolling shooter with 18 stages that challenge your reflexes and problem-solving abilities with its focus on fast-paced action. Your enemies come in two colors symbolizing one of two polarities: white or black. You will be able to absorb their bullets if your ship matches their color. You may also accumulate points through the use of chains. When three enemies of the same polarity are destroyed consecutively, it constitutes a chain. The more consecutive groups of three enemies that are dispatched, the more points are awarded. Accumulating sufficient points rewards you with additional life. This scoring methodology is similar to that used in Radiant Silvergun.
