IHOP, which stands for International House of Pancakes, is a restaurant chain that specializes in breakfast foods, especially pancakes. IHOP also offers menu items for lunch and dinner, plus dessert, in addition to its extensive breakfast menu. IHOP locations are recognizable for their blue roofs. In 2007, IHOP bought successful family restaurant chain Applebee's, which makes them the largest chain of restaurants in the world.
IHOP is offering free pancakes to its customers at participating stores on National Pancake Day, commonly known as Fat Tuesday.
