Back in
2003, the website
ThinkGeek released their annual list of April Fool's Day gadgets and items that didn't exist. One of the items was described as the "George Foreman USB iGrill". The idea behind the joke was that an
iPod and the
George Foreman Grill could be combined. But, the designers of the Foreman grills saw an opportunity. They developed a 200 square inch nonstick grilling surface for indoor and/or outdoor
barbecuing. The device also included speakers and a
USB dock allowing for an MP3 player to play
music while
grilling. What started as a joke has led to an innovative product.
