Ibex

The Pyrenean ibex (Capra pyrenaica pyrenaica) is a species of mountain goat native to Spain and France. Declared a protected species in 1973, twenty years later there were only 10 animals left and the species went extinct in 2000.Telegraph: Extinct ibex is resurrected by cloning (January 31, 2009)
