Iberia Airlines is the flag carrier and national airline of Spain. Iberia flies to destinations across Europe, as well as to Latin America and Africa. In 2007, Iberia announced that it would consider being purchased and British Airways expressed interest in a deal. However, in November, 2008, British Airways announced it was no longer interested. Iberia Airlines is a member of the Oneworld Alliance led by British Airways and American Airlines.
