The Hyundai Genesis Coupe concept made its public debut at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show. It is a performance sports coupe with the choice of a turbocharged four cylinder engine or a 3.8 liter V6 engine with an estimated 300+ horsepower and a 0 to 60 of under six seconds. The production model for 2009 was revealed at the New York Auto Show 2008 and is expected to be one of the most affordable performance models available.

Hyundai will utilize the slogan "The Epic Lap" for its two 30-second spots during the 2009 Super Bowl, airing February 1, 2009.
