Hythiam is healthcare service provider that focuses on treatments for those who suffer from alcoholism and other substance abuse problems. The company focuses upon the development, licensing, and distribution of treatment programs that do not directly involve medications. Rather, their programs use physiological, nutritional, and behavioral methods to treat patients. Hythiam developed the Prometa Treatment Program, and is currently affiliated with health plans, employers, criminal justice and government agencies.
