A hysterectomy is a surgical procedure performed on a women. There are three types of hysterectomies, all of which remove some portion of a woman's reproductive organs. A hysterectomy makes it impossible for a woman to become pregnant.

  • Radical: Cervix, uterus, upper vagina and supporting tissue removed
