Hypoallergenic Dogs

Hypoallergenic dogs are those breeds less likely to cause an allergic reaction in humans. Dogs that shed infrequently, have less flaky skin, or those that are hairless like the Peruvian hairless dog are considered hypoallergenic.

There are many choices available to the allergy-prone future dog owner. While hypoallergenic qualities are more common in smaller breeds, some larger dogs are also hypoallergenic. Remember that no dog is entirely without the dander and saliva that can trigger an allergic reaction.
