Hustle and Flow

Hustle & Flow is a 2005 film written and directed by Craig Brewer, which stars Terrence Howard, Anthony Anderson and Taryn Manning.

Hustle & Flow is about a Memphis hustler named "DJay" (played by Terrence Howard) who struggles to pull himself up from being a pimp, and follows his dream of becoming a hip-hop artist. DJay works along with his two friends, Key (Anthony Anderson) and Shelby (DJ Qualls), and the three of them produce a number of hit singles.

Terrence Howard's performance as DJay earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. The film won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for the Three 6 Mafia's "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp".
