Two-year-old Hunter Beaupre's body was recovered from a car submerged in the Green River near Auburn, Washington, on November 11, 2008. Beaupre and his cousin, 13-year-old Austin Fuda, were passengers in a car driven by a 16-year-old girl. According to reports, the teen lost control of the vehicle on Friday, November 7, 2008. She told police she was able to get out of the car, but could not reach the boys before the vehicle was swept away into the rain-swollen river. The body of 13-year-old Austin Fuda had not been recovered from the Green River as of November 12, 2008. Search crews continued to search the water in hopes of finding the boy's body.
