Human League is a British band who formed in 1977. They were the first synthesizer band in the 1980s to reach number one on the music charts. The band had only two number one hits in the U.S. which were "Human League Song Don't You Want Me Baby" and "Human."
They released their first single "Being Boiled" in June, 1978, under the label Fast Records. On June 12, they played their first live gig at Bar 2. After their first performance their live performances began to gain momentum and soon they were asked to open for The Rezillos. Their name was officially changed to Human League in October, 1980.
Since their conception the band has released nine studio albums, four EPs, 9 live and compilation albums and released over thirty singles. Some of their more successful ones are "Love Action (I Believe in Love)," "Mirror Man," "(Keep Feeling) Fascination," "Tell Me When" and "Things That Dreams Are Made Of."
