Hogan is arguably one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all time. After defeating the Iron Sheik for the WWF Championship in 1984, Hogan ushered in a new-found interest in the WWF. Hogan moved to rival promotion WCW in June of 1994, and would surprise fans when he turned into an anti-hero. While in the WCW he formed the nWo (New World Order) in 1996. Hogan announced a possible return to the wrestling ring via his official Twitter account on March 2, 2009. In 2010 he decided to join the rival company TNA, instead of WWE. The return to wrestling was negotiated by Eric Bishoff of Bishoff Hervey Entertainment Television.
