Life and Career
Hugo Weaving was born in Nigeria. His parents are English; his mother was a tour guide, and his father was a seismologist. During his teen years, Weaving moved to England and then Sydney, Australia.His studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art and after graduation got his first break on the break screen with his performance in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994).
He then began to appear in more films until he shot into super stardom for his role as Agent Smith in The Matrix film trilogy. He also gained wide recognition shortly after that for his appearance as Elrond in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
