  • Hudson Bay is a body of water in northeastern Canada. It connects to two of the world's oceans, the Arctic Ocean to the north and the Atlantic Ocean via the Hudson Strait to the east. Hudson bay is known for being exceptionally shallow, and it is also unique in that it is a body of saltwater, but its salinity levels are lower than the average of the world's oceans.
  • Hudson Bay History

    The Hudson Bay has been an important part of nothern Canada's development. First explored by the British navigator Henry Hudson, in 1610, it was of critical importance in establishing colonies and trading with indigenous peoples. Today some of the Hudson Bay's ports are still an important shipping hubs for trade with Russia and countries in Europe.
