In addition to the revolutionary touch screen, the HTC Touch features a microSD memory slot to supplement the 128MB ROM, and weighs just 112 grams with a battery. Photos on the 2 megapixel camera, and movies or other media, are displayed on the 240x320DPI screen. Released on June 5, 2007, the phone originally shipped with Windows Mobile 6 operating system. This version of Windows Mobile utilizes Internet Explorer as a web browser with which to navigate the internet. Individual applications include Microsoft Office, a media player, and access to email with Microsoft Outlook with support for Hotmail and Yahoo mail. Multimedia Uses
The HTC Shift allows for playback of music, videos, and music through it's version of Windows Media Player. This media can be saved on the microSD card to be transferred to another device, or else uploaded to the web to be shared with others. WIth the Internet Explorer, additional media can be viewed, such as videos on YouTube or photos on Flickr.
