The HP Byron Nelson Championship is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour. The HP Byron Nelson Classic is an annual event on the PGA Tour. Byron Nelson was the first winner and the tournament was named after him starting in 1968.http://www.pgatour.com/2008/tournaments/r019/10/02/hp.sponsor/index.html The tournament took place over many different courses in the Dallas, Texas area until 1983 when the even moved to Irving. Two courses at the TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas hold currently host the event.
