Howard Stern

  • The self-appointed "King of All Media" has backed up his claim with successful endeavors in the major forms of media-- radio, television, movies, and books.

Howard Stern hosts a popular radio talk show The Howard Stern Show on Sirius Satellite Radio. He has published two best-selling books: "Private Parts" and "Miss America," with "Private Parts" also being turned into a movie that Stern starred in as himself. From 1994-2005, portions of his radio show were televised in a highly-rated half hour show on cable's [[E! Network]], which has now evolved into Howard TV, which can be seen uncensored On Demand on digital cable.

  • Controversial History

During a radio career that has spanned over thirty years, Stern's unabashed and outspoken treatment of current events, involving controversial, sexual, and racial humor, along with his continued refusal to submit to content and censorship restrictions imposed by the FCC, have resulted in him being the most fined radio personality in history. However, he is also the highest paid: In 2004, after Clear Channel decided not to renew his contract, Stern signed a 5 year, $500 million contract with Sirius Satellite Radio.
  • Personal Life

Stern married his high school sweetheart, Alison Stern in 1978, and the couple had three daughters: Emily, Debra and Ashley. Howard and Alison Stern divorced amicably in 2001. Since 2000, Stern had been dating actress and model Beth Ostrosky, and they announced their engagement in February of 2007. Stern and Ostrosky were wed in October 2008.
