Howard Rheingold is a non-fiction writer who concentrates his essays and novels on computers, web technology, and the people the affect.
Career
Howard Rheingold's career began writing about computers and their ability to expand and access the human mind in the early 1980s. His first major work was Tools for Thought which chronicled the early history of the personal computer we know today. After a series of successful books under his belt, Rehingold served as editor for such magazines as HotWired, Whole Earth Review, and Electric Minds (which he also founded). He is currently working on new material and occasionally teaching at his home in Mill Valley, California.
